I went to junior high and high school in Utah in the 80's and used to watch Jazz games on TV a lot.
He had some epic battles with KAJ in the 80's.
Always appreciated his effort and hard work specially on D. He was a great shot blocker despite not being very athletic.
Genuinely nice guy.
RIP
yeah was just going to bring this up. tough on organs to be that huge. RIP Mark those were fun matchups go watch

They say he died in a bike accident. Sounds like mountain biking as Gobert shared a picture of them together with one of those. I can’t imagine how two 7 footers would do on those bikes. RIP, by all accounts a kind and gentle giant.

Re: Around the NBA XI
I have no dog in this fight and I am not gonna claim I watch a lot of the Hawks games, but the few I have watched I notice that opposing teams don't make T Young work on defense. if it was I Thomas every team and their mothers attack him, but Young always seems to just play on the opposite side of the court of where the ball is when he is on defense. Bullock is like a foot taller and doesn't attack him. why is that? or am I missing some basketball genius tactic that my dumb a** is not seeing?
...and also how the hell does Snoop starts out with a Corona in his hand and three in the bucket gives away seven Coronas to his “friends” and ends up with 3 Coronas in the bucket?

Similar with Ja Morant in their series. Given he won't be gassed as much if Jazz went at him but hell make him work!snaquille oatmeal wrote:I have no dog in this fight and I am not gonna claim I watch a lot of the Hawks games, but the few I have watched I notice that opposing teams don't make T Young work on defense. if it was I Thomas every team and their mothers attack him, but Young always seems to just play on the opposite side of the court of where the ball is when he is on defense. Re: Around the NBA XI
phoenix suns fans are upset that the media coverage is not enough about their team winning but more about the Lakers and their injuries. lol
of course.
Why would media cover a non-story of a 'defaulting' to a win?
the main story IS the Lakers and their injuries.
duh

Looks like Embiid is out for a game as well if not more. A lateral meniscus tear doesn’t sound good. What a toilet bowl of a season!

Re: Around the NBA XI
We are treading in dangerous territory. All the final 4 teams from last year, who also had to have the quickest turnaround into this season, have been injured. Denver. Miami. Boston. And us. These guys been playin us like a video game with the fatigue button turned off. Now they've come to the realization, in the real world, 72 or 82 and playoffs take its toll. Real Life pounding. We can't even field a full squad for 4 straight games.
We are totally at the mercy of Luck and hope. Like hopefully we can stay injury free for this playoff run.

It's called love. The more you give, the more you get back.
Or they just gave it back to him once the camera passed them by, because they can't stand Coronas.

If it makes anyone feel any better... Rondo just airballed a 3 in a close game against the Mavs... Playoff Rondo is 0-6 in 17min and a -21...

porzingis is such a weird 7 footer... like just hanging out way behind he 3 pt line, never getting to the elbow even... what is he even doing? The mavs should be killing them.

I guess that's why...
In all honesty Doncic is kinda weird too... Dude moves like me after a long day doing yard work... But he's got 42/14...

Doncic has been ice cold in the 4th... He's got nothing left.
They better not let it go to OT.

Re: Around the NBA XI
How did Kawhi and George fool everyone into thinking they're alphas?
Frustrating to watch too, because I feel like Phoenix is a tougher matchup for us than either of those teams.

The look Rondo gave Kawhi after Kawhi airballed that 3 was worth a thousand words.

Re: Around the NBA XI
So chances Kawhi would want to join the Lakers? He's a dumbass for even joining the Flippers and wasting 2 years of his prime. He could've had a 3rd ring already and probably would of been the focal point of this playoffs while LBJ does the PG duties.
LBJ/AD/Kawhi vs KD/Harden/Irving NBA Finals = high television ratings and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for the league.

Re: Around the NBA XI
Mavs went cold in the 4th. They had 5 shots go down half way and come back out.
But their run at the end of the 3rd to go up 14 was awesome . It was enough of a cushion to stutter to the end .
Weird series. Road team has won every game so far.
I hope the Mavs become the first team in this series to win at home and close it out .

Re: Around the NBA XI
Another opportunity for a LA/LA battle missed this postseason.
One due to injuries. The other due to injury to the team mindset.
Guess which team I am referring to for the above. lol

What would it take to pry Beal away from the Wizzards? He would be about the perfect fit.
