**** him, and we are never retiring his number. He made his bed and can sleep in it.
He was a free agent and was capable of making his own decision. He ended up winning 2 rings, going to 4 Finals and played with the greatest player of this generation. He also met his wife in Miami and has a wonderful home and family. I think he is sleeping just fine at night.
The "thrashing" he gave Toronto after he left was so tepid. Now that he is retired he has had a chance to reflect on his career and it's clear he has been trying to clear the air with Toronto and any bad blood that may exist. Why not be the bigger person rather than tell him off with such vulgarity? He ended up making the right choice.
When was there ever an obligation for a fan to be empathetic towards a player leaving their team? People have the right to cheer for whoever the fck they want, let along a player that left their team for their own selfish motives. Why the fck should people care?
Who said there was an obligation or that you even have to like him?
Cursing him and wishing him ill is petty. It's the type of behaviour that leads to people throwing bottles and spitting on players.
