The peanut gallery is going to be outraged for the 4th straight year.

Hmmm... they both deserve heat, but I put the lionshare on Stotts. He's just not good. All you have to do is watch Norman Powell in Toronto vs Norman Powell in Portland. The Blazers lack off-ball movement and have been running the same tired offense for 5 years. It's solid in the RS when carried by prolific scorers, but it's just so easily negatable in the post-season and has no towards the rim movement.

Is what it is. Time for that major shakeup. This series was a New Orleans level disaster and things will change majorly this time. But, I'm happy for it. If things don't work out, they don't work out. But I'm running on fumes with this team. Long past time we had some damn hope that they'd do something to change the trajectory.

Clean sweep of the staff and moving of CJ is what's in order.

They're going to get their way this year. Stotts is gone. CJ is gone. Olshey might be gone. You're not really the person to debate these things with though. Team could bring back Thomas Robinson and you'd think they acquired prime Hakeem.

Outrage is the wrong word, IMO. Disappointment comes to mind. Portland should have been better than they showed this year, I feel. This team is not a contender despite being as healthy as they are likely to be. Hopefully Portland can improve going forward.

I expect some serious soul-searching and likely big changes this offseason.

That was a phantom call that started that. Not challenging cost us the season. The refs were extremely suspect, and you could see the team knew how it was gonna shake out before the game was even over. You can't fight the league and and the other team. They just lacked the mental strength to fight through it. They just gave up. Including Dame. I was furious last game, but I just felt numb the whole game. Even when we were up, I just felt like this would be the outcome.

At least stotts and that dumbfounded look will be gone and Bert Kolde steps in to relieve olshey. Only positives I can take from this...

i’m not disagreeing blame goes to stotts too. Definitely time for a move. I think the only way we get past cj though is by getting past NO

I don't love Olshey. However, given the choice between his job and CJ... I think he chooses the former.

Well rough way for the season to end, but I will say this those that think Terry Stotts should be fired will be very likely to get their wish.

I will point out after Blazers won game 1 the Nuggets won 4 of the next 5 games to win this series. That was the first time the team got to make adjustments and the adjustments were better by Denver overall.

Everyone, I get that this is a tough loss to end the season, but please do not make personal statements about other posters here. Consider this an informal warning.

Okay deleted my latest post. I just know the truth as we all do... "certain posters" were big Bucks fans. Then "certain persons" ended up in Portland and "certain posters" moved over to the Portland forums with unmovable positions that deflected any accountability for the aforementioned "certain persons" at any junction.

This forum is open for all RealGM posters to post, whether they be Blazer fans, fans of a particular player on the team, fans of the coach, and fans of other teams alike! As long as everyone abides by the rules and debates points and not the people making them, all is good. :)

Lol, that gives me only 24 hours until I smile ear to ear. Stotts will be back.

Also I think we need to talk about how sparingly DJJ was used and how putting extra length and quickness on Morris in spurts would've been nice. DJJ also cuts.

But I guess it's probably moot since Stotts'll be fired.

We could all see it from the moment DJJ was signed. Like, he has potential to be a solid bench player, but in this system? How could he? This team played best all series when it attacked the basket. It fell into a bad pattern of shooting bad jumpers that the system promotes at every critical juncture.

I mean, I may be hardheaded... I probably am... However, it's hard for me to sit here and think that Spoelstra would've struggled as hard as Stotts has with this roster. Stotts is mediocre at best, but possibly actually bad as a head coach. The challenge now will be to bring in someone who's actually good and instills better habits and schemes for the team to use.

the decision to remodel this team needs to come from Seattle, because it needs to start with the snake-oil-egomainiac' in the GM's office. Then Stotts needs to go. Then CJ & Melo. To rinse-repeat the GM, coach, and CJ would be a travesty
