I don't really care for Becky Hammon if I'm being honest. Just not drawn to her personality from what I've seen. Not sure how the players would respond to her.

And I know she gets buzz whenever a coaching vacancy opens up, but do we really know if she's a great coach? She trained under Pop but so did a lot of people and the Spurs actually haven't been very good during her time there.

And not to open up a can of worms but I can see the guys rolling their eyes if we hire one of like 3 people in the entire league who didn't kneel for the anthem when that was a thing.

Boston fans once chanted ‘wife beater’ at Jason Kidd; I cannot see this team hiring him

That might be a small piece of it. But I think theres two big pieces at play.

1) Jason Kidd is a absolute Jobber of a Head Coach. Absolute Enhancement Talent. Like $50 an appearance indy show Jobber. He's brutal.

2) If he becomes king of the jobbers on this team he will probably want to fire most of the other jobbers on this coaching staff. I can't see Brad with the loyalty he has for his "coaching" staff allowing that to happen. Whoever gets hired probably won't be able to pick his/her staff. So thats why ultimately its probably going to be Jay Larranaga or Jerome Allen from the Job Squad taking this role. Sam I Am and Chauncey Billups would probably bring in respected assistants. Respect = Money. Wyc isn't paying for anything with this roster.

I know when Bron went to LA he was gassing up Kidd as the only person who sees the game on his level. Which isn't a selling point for me lol, but thought I'd mention it.

Bob Ryan, an active writer for the Globe at the time, once said on ESPN that he wanted to smack Kidds wife.

There is less than zero chance that he will come here; we dont want him and he wont want us. This is all him leaking and trying to leverage to get the Blazers job

If we hire Darvin Ham, could we unban Banners Only. I’d be eager for his Ham and Egger materials.

I can't think of many worse candidates than Pierce. Truly awful coach who has no business being at this level. I think he might work in college in a small conference.

This team needs a guy that has played in the league and won. A leader. Billups or Cassell, please.

I still think Cassell is the front runner from what I’ve heard due to his experience as an assistant and as a former player. He’s well respected around the league with players too. Chauncey I like too but doesn’t have enough experience to be head coach in my opinion.

Almost no chance Kara leaves Duke but crazier things have happened.

Just wondering if your sources are the same as mine. My sources told me that LMA was bought out because he was flirting too much with Becky. Is that true?

Haven’t heard that. Just know players were tuning her out in SA. She’s well respected among the coaching fraternity in the league but not so much with the players, especially for the guys who played team USA with her as an assistant with Pop.

This seems to be a common buzz around the league. Of course the Celtics will do their own diligence but I've seen enough. No on Hammon,

Is it possible LeBron gets Vogel fired to keep Kidd?

According to sources, Celtics assistants Jay Larranaga and Jerome Allen have interviewed for the job. Lloyd Pierce, a former Atlanta Hawks head coach and Sixers assistant, is among the leading candidates for the job.

But Cassell was publicly endorsed by ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins, a former Celtics teammate, for the job.

“Brad Stevens, if you want to make your next move your best move,” he said, “you need to hire Sam Cassell.”

I really feel like if one of our current assistants were getting the job they would have already decided on it and announced it along with everything else. They want a change and are only interviewing them as a courtesy imo.

Popovich's proteges have by and large done well thus far. I would be okay with giving Hammon a shot.

Gives Brad a chance to practice doing something he hasn't done before (though: he or someone hired all these jobbers as assistants), hone his HC interview Qs, and most importantly gives some time for other candidates to decide if they want to put their hats into the ring. Also gives Larranaga a chance to polish up his peepers.

Yeah I'm just thinking they found an internal candidate for the POBO job (Brad) and hired him and announced it. So if they were seriously considering an internal candidate for head coach they would have done the same. Or maybe not lol but that was my thought.
