Their gn would get fired on the spot and nba would void that deal

This championship or it's not worth doing anything crowd is getting annoying..look at what 1 playoff win did for this fanbase..how about winning a round next season, how about making it to the ECF for the first time in over 20 years..you can't judge every move a franchise makes on whether or not they win a title. if you look at nba history, not many teams have won a ring at all..

Same time, but sure let's follow that same blueprint since it worked so well the first time

That's basically 6 first rounders, for 1 player..again what is portland's plan..just to throw this out there, let's say C's offer Brown and 2 picks..of course Brown is a much better player, but are they rebuilding or trying to compete..would more picks be more valuable then a better player..

what blueprint? winning a round? making it to the playoffs 3 years in a row, or winning under 30 games 7 years in a row

The way to do it is work this back channels... rumor was that Kawhi wanted to Lillard to come to the Clippers before PG got traded. Now if Bryant can get Dame to demand a trade to NY, I think KL can be convinced to sign as well. I don't know about making the salaries work but Toppin raised his value during the playoffs, Quickley is going to get even better. You got multiple 1sts. You have Mitchell Robinson...

One playoff series win . Hell only reason why we even made on of those playoffs was a trash heap player playing way over his head. So I guess that wishing for miracles sometimes works

I get wanting Lillard but I would want to keep Rj and Obi. The reason is because Mitch and the cap issue he represents being a 2nd round pick and the implications of signing him

they have mitch for another year for the minimum and his cap hold is nothing. he's the easiest and cheapest to keep.

Trading for Dame is not the same as trading for Melo after all dame is modern day PG he doesn't do this for 24 sec every possessionImage

Why would Portland let us keep mitch given how good he is for cheap?

Mitch
Randle
Kawhi
Lillard

Would need to use any remaining assets to get more help. Would hope that guys like Rose, Bullock, Taj, Noel, etc. sign for the exceptions. Then would have to go after more Euros + cheap cast offs from the G-League. At the deadline, pursue those inevitable buyouts.

This is all a pipedream but whatever.

Harden trade was 4 picks, 4 pick swaps and Levert that turned into Oladipo

Anthony Davis trade was 3 young players (Ingram, Zo, Hart), 3 picks (1 of them #4) and 1 pick swap.

I don’t know why people think to get Dame we would need to give up RJ, Obi, IQ, Mitch, 6 picks and 3 swaps just to get a player that is worse than Harden and AD.

Because Scott Perry still runs the Knicks the same guy who gave up our best asset and two good starters for Dsjr and two low first round picks.
