Anthony Davis trade was 3 young players (Ingram, Zo, Hart), 3 picks (1 of them #4) and 1 pick swap.

I don’t know why people think to get Dame we would need to give up RJ, Obi, IQ, Mitch, 6 picks and 3 swaps just to get a player that is worse than Harden or AD.

allen & levert

Nets traded 3 picks and then flipped Allen to the Cavs to get the Bucks 2022 pick which the Cavs owned. So it was 4 likely projected late 1st ( 3 Nets picks, 1 Bucks pick)

that was houston's choice. they didn't keep levert either.

Still means that the value of Allen was around a first round pick. Who honestly wants a center that is not a star making 20+ million?

My point is that we should be starting the discussion at Obi, IQ, 3 or 4 picks and a couple swaps. The notion we have to throw RJ, Mitch and lose every pick we own from now to 2030 is ludicrous.

Apparently the cavs, since they're looking to give him a new $100m deal

Personally, I think we D’angelo Russell Julius.
Ironic, 2 Lakers picks helped jumpstart NY basketball over again.

Randle (maybe to a 3rd team), quick, Obi & Knox plus picks for Dame.

Portland really has no say in the matter. When stars want to leave they get what they want.

There are other teams also. What if Boston offers Brown, Smart and Kemba?

Kemba's deal is cancerous right now... I love Kemba but acting as if he's going to be attractive to Portland in any Dame trade is laughable.

Also FWIW Harden has a better track record of team success than Dame has...People like Dame more but I think if you polled most GM's they'd rather have Harden over Dame especially given the contract situations.

Exactly. Dame’s been out in the 1st round 4 of the last 5 years. I know he is clutch as hell and went crazy a couple of nights ago, but let’s pump the breaks. We shouldn’t trade for Dame more than what an MVP got

Until Dame leaks out that he wants to come to New York, I'll chill from imagining packages.

If there isn't any Dame movement and we get to the draft, we're drafting the BPA and swinging for the fences during the next trading deadline.

But until Dame commits and says he wants to play here, nothing is going on but talk. But let this be certain, Kwahii to NY would have to happen first or Dame is not coming here.

I consider Dame to be on Hardens level...but yeah I still agree with your point. I think those other teams had leverage to give up less because both Harden and AD were on the road to forcing themselves out....I dont see Dame doing that...at least not to our team

If that's what it takes, Imma pass on that. Melo trade II.

all these knuckleheads are missing one key component for the Team to give up such a package. Kwahii has to agree to sign here first or Dame is not leaving Portland to play here with just Randle and Rose.

But if they could add a third star (Kawhi Leonard is a hot name right now) to combine with Randle and Lillard, a trade would make some sense for the Knicks. It would leave them without several assets, but it would give them a real, credible shot of entering the NBA title contender conversation.
