We might. Depends how close Butler is with either two. Superstar movement nowadays is about player relationships. Dame would unlikely because there are 0 indications that he's close with Butler. But Kawhi I think is a possibility. Him and Butler know each other. How close are they ? Who knows. But I'm sure if Clips get bounced, Riley would be leaning on Butler to recruit Kawhi.

Nah. 2010 really spoiled people. Getting superstars is hard. Heat have only really done it 4 times in 25 years and that is better than most teams.

Zo
Shaq
Lebron/Bosh
Butler

More likely are the trades for a Posey and Walker

I want Lonzo here bad but the RFA tag makes it much tougher. Dinwiddie sounds like he’s a hardcore dog and would fit in perfect here. Love his size at PG much like i do Lonzo. His size and length seem to make him a perfect fit next to Herro. He’s also only 28 with plenty of prime years left. Would make sense in this instance to keep Dragic around as his backup.

To make a competitive offer we would need to release basically every just to have the cap space to make a 20+ Mil offer for Ball. If they match we just lost the ability to sign and trade our players that are free agents or have an option. I could see a Hero + Dragic + future 2nd round pick in a sign and trade for Ball. That way we can still keep Duncan. It makes us younger and better defensively but still we need size. Maybe make a trade for Love? We would also need a backup pg.

Ball
Butler
Duncan
Love
Bam.

This gives us spacing. We would need a combo guard, back up pg and a backup PF/C

If Love is your cup of tea you’re better off pushing a for a Love/Sexton for Herro/Dragic/Iggy deal. We can pick up their options to trade them before FA & the $ matches almost perfectly. That allows us to resign Nunn/Dipo/Robinson, only then needing to solidify the big rotation

I hate the fact we gonna end up, after all the waiting we had for a "whale", with a Spencer or a Evan. I really hope we can make something happen to actually have the ability to contend

So we can move on from the Lillard dream. He is actively involved in who should be the Blazers head coach

Dude has be loyal as af, despite PDX never quite nailing the whole building process.

The list of Olshey’s low level mismanagement’s is actually pretty extensive. But Dame stays loyal.

Nah, He cant even get on the court there now.

At 22: the future of our franchise.

At 24: too broken to replace broken Iggy for the NBA minimum.

That is some world class underachieving. You'd think he got run over by a tank. :nonono:

Love??? The guy was practically scoring for the opposing team. Washed, injury prone, and a head case. Pass, pass, pass!

Already Damian has given his input ... he wants Jason Kidd to coach him in Portland. Damian is a lifer for Portland has no interest in leaving.

Winnie better learn to stay healthy and hit 3s at a non-embarrassing rate, or he's going to be out of the NBA before UD.

Sad prt is everyone had us taking Booker that draft... but we outsmarted ourselves by falling for Winslow because the “experts” around the league had him at a higher grade and he was supposably going to be the fourth player taken...

People still want Beasley. We have a hard time burying our stars.

Ball isn't worth that, he's never been worth that. Dude was uneven as hell in a contract year. For all the complaints, we love mediocrity. Let's bring a PG that can only operate on the break to the slowest offense in the league.

Truth is there aren't many game changers out there this offseason. Hardly any at all :

Kawhi

Lowry
Norman Powell
Dinwiddie

Derozen (bad fit)
Ball (bad fit)
Hardaway Jr.

Collins is a restricted free agent.
CP3 will demand a huge deal

It is what it is. We need a miracle. We need chemistry, internal growth, and probably patience.

Riley makes things happen, but landing a whale without trading Jimmy or Bam isnt going to happen when we have no pick to trade. We cant overreact on how this season ended. The team was clearly gassed, you can tell by the energy level they displayed and how shots were coming up short. No legs, no basket. We have a solid core, we need some more scorers, spacer, and size.

I can easily see Pat bringing in THJ at a reasonable price. Dinwiddie would fit well. Lowry if he took maybe a 2/$32M and have Dragic back him up for 2/$20M.

I think Jimmy is getting his extension and if we dont plan on that we have to trade him. I dont like that idea, Jimmy is a baller and the kind of player we need on this team, but if there are no plans to extend, get somethign of value thats younger and send him to a contender where he can have a chance to win.

Anyone like the idea of Cam Payne?
