Clippers is a tough match for Utah. Utah is the only team to stand a chance against Nets. Hence, Dallas should win.

Am I the crazy, but I got the Bucks winning vs the Nets. Barbershop talk....Bucks ain't got a chance.

My argument, Tucker going to play good enough on one the top 3.; Bucks going to kill on the boards and lastly JaRue makes this team a lot better then last year.

If Middleton keeps balling like he did when the Freak was hurt last year then Brooklyn will have a problem.

In case you guys get informed only by the media, because they didn't even mention the unanimous MVP's performance in the first round:

Nikola in the first round of the Playoffs:
33.0 PPG
10.5 RPG
52.8 FG%
42.9 3P%
91.7 FT%
He is the FIRST player in NBA history to average at least 30 PPG and 10 RPG with 50/40/90 shooting splits in a postseason series.

As long as Luka is there, they're making the playoffs, barring injury to him.

And I hope he doesn't get hurt for the sake of the sport (and selfishly I want him to sign here as a UFA years from now).

Luka: TRADE ME!

Precisely... The Mavs aren't keeping him. This isn't Dirk 2.0, dude is a showman, if any player has the balls to play here it's him.

That's why we have to do what we can to stack and keep the assets to trade for him or the space to sign for him in 2025-6.

There's a chance one top player is going to be so frustrated with a team that can't get better and will think NYK has a future. If we can get that guy without gutting the team, it would be hard to do better than Luka (young, great, and still getting better). Of course, some slightly older players would work on 3 year deals. Just not the elderly ones LOL. No $120M for CP3's last stand.

He is likely to get paid a lot this summer, but how do you guys feel about Duncan Robinson? He is obviously an elite 3pt shooter, his off ball movement is elite too, his team defense is underrated imo, and he isnt scared of big moments. I havent looked at the cap situation yet, but he may be a guy I consider this off season. Not only would he create so much space because of his 3pt shooting but he creates havoc for opposing defenses because of how well he moves off the ball.

Nope , not crazy at al. If you watched that Miami series you can tell the Bucks are then best team left right now.

I'd love to see it and I really do get the feeling that this Bucks-Nets 2nd round series is the real NBA Finals this year...

If the Bucks can pull it off, it's the best affirmation of actual team basketball since the Pistons ended the Kobe-Shaq Lakers reign.

Giannis is going to have to do even more on the offensive end though. There's only so much defending you can do of the Nets. It will ultimately be a shootout.

Even with KP sucking we still got screwed in that trade

I have a different take. If KP was even decent this trade wouldve been a slaughter. When the throw in player is a legit no. 3, and you allowed them to protect one of their picks, you know you screwed up negotiations

Actaully I thinkt he key to him winning is to do less scoring and just play the way he played against Miami. Basically facilitate, defend and score in motion an din his comfort zone.

People overlook how loaded the Bucks are with two way talent...and they are a team thats basically played together for years. This Nets team hasn't really faced any adversity ...and against t the undermanned Celts they dropped a game ...The Bucks will shock them.

The key will be severely limiting 2 out of the Nets' 3 stars. If the Bucks can't accomplish that, they won't be able to play their game which is overwhelming teams with their length and pressure. At that point it will turn into a shoot out, and the Bucks have no chance in a shootout unless Giannis reinvents himself mid series and turns into an unstoppable first option on offense.

The Nets lost that game against Boston because Tatum went off for 50... He basically won the shootout. The Bucks don't have any offensive weapons that come close to Tatum.

It's all about the Bucks imposing their style of play on the traveling Nets circus--that's the key to the upset.

No but they have a boat load of offensive weapons the sum of which outstrip anything the Celts could muster.

The Bucks actually have defensive talent in Giannis, Holiday and Middleton to match up with the big 3 of the Nets while also them being offensively explosive themselves. When the defensive and offensive talent is in the same players, them being two way, it's much more effective than if it's one way players.

Then the Bucks also have very productive role players in Lopez, Forbes, Portis and such so they are more diverse in their offensive output so more difficult to defend. The Nets big 3 are elite and impossible to completely shut down but if they are harassed into inefficiency and the others around them shut down they are beatable by the Bucks.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Ummm it typically doesn't work like that in playoff basketball. The Bucks don't have a single go-to scorer. They don't even have a big shot Billups like the Pistons had in '04...

I think the series is going to be much more competitive than the Boston series because of the balanced two way attack, but I find it hard to believe the Bucks will be able to shut down 2 out of the Nets' 3 stars for four entire games.

Also, in late game situations, the Bucks have exactly ZERO go-to guys to close it out. The Nets have three (two of whom have rings).

The Bucks steamrolled the Heat, none of the games were even close. Let's see how they perform in a tight late game situation before we anoint them... Would love for them to embarrass the Nets, I just don't see it.
