I've been hinting at this the whole time, but the problem is the NBA.

Not Adam Silver, or the Nets, or James Dolan, but the fact that the NBA exists at all.

Ummm it typically doesn't work like that in playoff basketball. The Bucks don't have a single go-to scorer. They don't even have a big shot Billups like the Pistons had in '04...

I think the series is going to be much more competitive than the Boston series because of the balanced two way attack, but I find it hard to believe the Bucks will be able to shut down 2 out of the Nets' 3 stars for four entire games.

Also, in late game situations, the Bucks have exactly ZERO go-to guys to close it out. The Nets have three (two of whom have rings).

The Bucks steamrolled the Heat, none of the games were even close. Let's see how they perform in a tight late game situation before we anoint them... Would love for them to embarrass the Nets, I just don't see it.

They have

Who is playing insane right now

and several of snipers like Forbes - who is lethal. The Bucks will have no problem scoring on the Net.

Nets will fold like a tent versus some real competition.

The Nets are playing small ball. It's tough for bigs to defend the perimeter. And Blake is hot from deep. He was supposed to be the man that The Bucks would leave open.

That's why you downsize and play Giannis at the 5 imo.

The Bucks perimeter guys are frozen. The Bucks only can score inside. They risk it with a taller lineup.

Brooklyn was scoring at will inside. Whatever help defense Lopez was supposed to provide he didn't at all. Kyrie and KD shot like 4-15 from 3 combined but they got whatever they wanted going to the basket or in the mid range. Bucks also play slow and hardly looked to push pace and tempo. Their best player is not really a halfcourt skilled player and this Brooklyn team is a perfect match for them to go full small ball and pick up the pace. But that's hard to do, when you establish an identity all year long it's hard to just switch up who you are and what you've been doing all year.

I'm waiting for the Bucks "team basketball" apologist hot take--"Well, they were down Harden, but we didn't have our 2 guard Donte DiVincenzo either."

Thibs would play DeAndre Jordan at the 5, Claxton at the 4, Jeff Green at the 3, KD at the 2 and Kyrie at the 1.

And play Harden 15 minutes per game off the bench.
