GT: Bucks @ Nets Playoffs 2ND Round Game 2 Monday 7:30

Post#1 » by Stone » Sun Jun 6, 2021 2:28 am

We have to match the energy and intensity we had in game one. Blake played with the heart of a champion and we need to see that again from everybody.

Prayers up for James Harden

Nets board roll call continues......check in and show support!!

Lets Go Nets !!

I feel so sorry for James.

He's been such a great player for so long, an all-time great, and HE KNEW he was finally on a super-team, with this being his best chance to FINALLY get crowned, and he was busting at the seams for this run.

I felt like he was about to play his best basketball, like his hair was on fire!

Looking at the boxscore how did the Nets only have 9 free throw attempts? And Kyrie had 0?!

This popped out to me as well.

Some things that happened last night we can't expect to continue, like 20% shooting from 3, and on only 30 attempts. We also shot under our average, but they are due to bounce back.

Their rebounding advantage should be a consistent theme. But us only getting 9 FTA's was shocking to me, especially as blatantly jobber-y as some of the Bucks were playing. We're bound to see more in upcoming games, or something is really wrong.

This one is a must win. Go up 2-0 and I have a hard time seeing the Bucks coming back to win the series, doubts will start creeping in around their past playoff failures and it could be a quick series from there on. We buy James the max amount of rest possible and go fresh into the next series.

yea we need this one right here . Take care of home court and we'll feel alot more confident in ourselves. We're going to need "the others" to step up again. And try to lock down Middleton again .

We didn't lock anyone, we just packed the paint and contested their jumpers late. We ain't did anything new.

Hopefully Kyrie and KD can be more efficient this game so blow out can happen faster.

PJ just to small, KD gets his shot off at will. Jrue is way to small, he abused him. I expect a lot more Giannis this game.

Did anyone notice how Kyrie doing James Harden 2.0 with the way he was dishing it out, was thing of beauty.

They just can't guard screens for s***, dropping low vs us  we have shooters all over. Blake had practice shots, Shamet missed some really wide open 3's etc.

Mike James will be huge again. He allows us to do our things on offense. He ain't no Harden or Din, but I'll be damned if I won't say he busting azz out there.

Bucks gonna come out firing in this one. I fully expect Giannis to take it straight at Blake, can't imagine he's happy with Blake's antics with his brother in game 1.

Now Blake just gotta use that against him and draw 2 quick charges

in the context of Harden, this is the most important game of the season for sure, we need him but can't risk bringing him back early which will happen if we get behind in the win column. lets get this one, rooting hard tonight

The refs allowed a very physical game. Which honestly, is a great sign...

-no harden
-KD/Kyrie dont shoot great
-Refs allow things to be physical
-35/15 from giannis

We still win in a blowout

Spot on...

A win here is an enormous stomach punch for them. Would certainly get in everyones head, espcially Giannis. If we get a Monster KD performance that would take it even further, as he shows who the big swinging D*** in the series is. buys time for Harden.

Adjustments are going to be huge. I think the bucks were not prepared for Mike James and Blake. I think they will be better prepared for them this time. That means they probably won’t be as effective as they were in game one. That means others need to step up. Shamet has to hit those open threes. I see why the clippers dumped him. He’s too inconsistent. Harris has to keep doing what he did in game one. I expect Durant and Irving to have better nights.

Idk if they will win. But I hope for the same level of intensity from the players and if that happens it should be a great game.

I also think Middleton and the rest won’t shoot so badly. I know the nets defended well but they will make adjustments to get them more open looks. It’s fine with me if the bucks dominate the paint as long as they also don’t dominate the three point line. I’ll take our threes to their twos any day.

Exactly. Bucks fans talking about throwing elbows at Kyrie and KD. LOL.

Keep us at the free throw line tonight and see what happens.

I was waiting for someone to answer this question for a long time. It's almost game time. All I here is that KD should've fouled out
