Tried listening to the Rusillo podcast with Simmons and Jackie as they all wept about Ainge leaving, he’s underrated, blah blah blah.

They did joke about how’d they’d expect Smart to be gone. And wouldn’t be surprised if the only two guys on the team next year were Brown and Tatum from this roster.

I’ve had my Robert Williams hardon for a while now. Wonder if there is a way to get Smart and Williams here. Talk about a defensive upgrade and good fit.

Fortunately they can't give up the 2024 pick owing the 2023 pick already,

I think we need to look at the Suns and how they’ve built a roster around Booker to make him succeed. They picked up a veteran stabilisation presence in CP3, and surrounded them with athletic shooting wing defenders in Bridges, Crowder & Johnson.

I’d go after Lowry for that reason and it solves a lot of our defensive issues at the guard spots. If we can’t resign Theis, I’d be monitoring the Blazers situation and if they blow it up and I’d like to add Covington. RoCo & Williams would be a good defensive pairing in the frontcourt next to Vuc.

A lineup of Lowry/Zach/PWill/RoCo/Vuc has the potential to do some damage and could be a really good defensive team IMO.

For those who know more about the cap, can we pick up those two without giving away major trade assets? They both shouldn’t be that expensive in terms of trade assets I feel. Can we sign Lowry to a 3/60 deal and S&T Lauri for RoCo if the Blazers decide to rebuild and gut the roster?

What about Sato/S&T Lauri/White for Smart/Thompson/Williams?

Saw the Woj post that ORL is blowing things up.

Would it be worth trying to get Isaac? He's a HUGE injury risk, but that may make him attainable. Not that we have much in assets, but I'd do Coby for Isaac in a hot second...might even add TBJ.

No thank you to paying $80 million over the next 4 years to a guy who has played 136 games in 4 seasons. He makes Lauri look like Lou Gehrig. I'll pass.

Orlando already blew things up, that’s why Vuc is here. Why wouldn’t they be patient with Isaac now that they obviously have time? And he’s still young too.

Orlando will be keeping the young draft picks and the "blow up" is veterans. I assume Terrence Ross and Gary Harris will both be available. Not sure if Chicago would be interested in either.

Robert or Grant? I don't think they will give up Robert. They just lost Theis. They don't want to lose another of their effort players.

The Bulls have Thad, Theis, Aminu, and Laurie..I wonder if the Warrior would be interested in a trade for wiseman.

If Portland is looking for a change, a S&Ted Lauri for Covington might be a win-win.

Smart and Lowry are probably the best fits for PG’s.

Both ultra competitive. Both strong defenders at 1 and 2.

Is there any reliable source saying that Boston is looking to deal Smart? Makes no sense to me.

I would give up anyone on the Bulls roster except LaVine and any draft pick Portland wants for Lillard. Lillard is that good and clutch. Unfortunately neither Portland nor Lillard have any intentions of a divorce. Lillard has blind loyalty to that organization. I don’t know why but he does.

Anyone taking Wall contract if they add a pick , we do have the expiring to make it work and his contract up the same time as Vucci

Yes. I’m all for John Wall becoming a Chicago Bull for this exact reason. He brings needed defense and playmaking to the backcourt and would be a great mentor for Coby White. Getting a draft pick will be helpful for adding other pieces too.

There are some better options out there, but the Bulls don’t have the assets or weather/tax advantage/playoff stints to get them.

I look at it this way , Wall was out of basketball for 2 years and yea his efficiency was down mostly I think because rust like Lavine post ACL but he needed to show he had it still athletic wise and he did . I think he performs better next year if he’s on a better team with players that can outrank him offensively. He would be third option here big 4th if Pat can take a leap. Really ideal situation for him at this stage of his career
