Re: Around the NBA - Other Playoff Series
THJ is going back to Dallas. He's been their most consistent player outside of Luka, he's in the prime of his career and we know Cuban rewards guys like that.
I gave the Mavs a ton of credit for making that Zinger trade and betting on a guy who could have been a legit ceiling raiser but he hasn't been healthy, he hasn't been able to perform and with talks about Luka and him not getting along, Cuban would trade him 35c on the dollar just to be done with him.

Re: Around the NBA - Other Playoff Series
As if the Nets didn't have enough unlikable players with Kyrie, KD, Harden and Griffin, I turn it on to see Mike James in at pg. And of course Nash on top of it requesting to leave the Suns to go to the Lakers.

Damn. Harden out and the Nets still more or less rolled through the Bucks.

Hopefully the Mavs win today, they are a much better matchup for us than the Clippers.

Wow, following the score in the Hawks/Sixers game I assumed Embiid was out. I finally turn it on and he's been playing.

If Atlanta shoots this well from 3 the Sixers are in trouble no matter who plays.bwgood77 wrote:Wow, following the score in the Hawks/Sixers game I assumed Embiid was out. I finally turn it on and he's been playing.
The East is interesting in that the Bucks and Sixers are far superior defensive teams to the Nets and Hawks but if the latter two simply make shots they are tough to beat. Now it also helps when the Bucks shoot like 20% from 3, won't beat anyone like that.

Yeah I was surprised too. Does he not have a risk of making the meniscus worse? Seems reckless.

Probably Portland, but Simmons would be pretty nice with CJ and with Simmons and Covington their defense would be solid.
Philly would have to include more. It's not that different from Booker for Simmons except we don't really need to with our defense being solid already and Booker wants to stay whereas Lillard may want a change, though I think he's pretty committed to Portland too.

McCollum for Simmons has been floating around for years.
Hypothetical situation: Lillard says he wants to join the Suns after our playoff run this year. We give them a package of CP3 + who/what?

Problem is unless CP3 wanted to go to Portland it's not possible. He has a team option so would have to pick that up before he could be traded.wheezy wrote:Bogyo wrote:Simmons for Lillard - who says no?

I will say Phoenix would be a great roster/situation for Dame.

Luka magic is simply amazing keeping his team from blowout with 30 points in the first half.

24-4 run for the Clips when the Mavs got up 5 and now they look toast. Bummer.

Yeah, I figured Kawhi and Luka would have big games, and it would come down to shooters. TH Jr and KP are a combined 1-14 from 3 and Marcus Morris is 6-7.
Mavs shot around 50%, sometimes more, from 3 in the first few games but picked a bad time to shoot 25% overall. Luka at 40% but no one else except Finney Smith any good.
I hope Utah beats the Clips, but I'm not too confident they will.
But we need to worry about Denver first.

Do you think Doncic needs more gym training? He looks fat and tired.

Or just worn out and injured? Mavs entire offense goes through him and he just went 7 games playing 40mpg and put up three 40+pt performances against a defense featuring multiple All-NBA level defenders whose entire game plan is to shut him down.
