I'm curious if Marks and Nash will want to kick the tires now on Spencer Dinwiddie if Harden is going to be out for a lengthy amount of time. Spencer wants to play but the Nets put player safety over winning (which is the right thing to do always).

All of this, mon ami.

I too pray that Harden pulled himself out of an abundance of caution, so as not to damage it further.

I will be pulling up Spencer's Twitter every 4 hours for the foreseeable future. I was always hoping he could return now (the 2nd round) anyway, but we need him more than we expected. If Jeff can get a clean bill of health and we actually play a reinvigorated DeAndre, we can pull through this series even if James can't go.

Spencer ship has sailed IMO.

Even if cleared he is not in NBA shape at all and cannot just be thrown in against the 2nd best team in the league.

This. Barring a catastrophic string of bad luck, I can't see Nash trusting Dinwiddie returning from a serious injury and long absence over Mike James and TJ.

He's had issues with them back in 2019, but today it just looks like his three-ball was off. He was 8/15 inside the arc (53%) and only 3/11 from three. The threes have nothing to do with Giannis. With KD on the floor, the Bucks can't guard Kyrie like they did in 2019. And even if they did, he missed a ridiculous amount of jumpers those playoffs, and that won't be the usual.

I think he and the team in 2019 were checked out by then too

Kyrie seemed to go into like, a feral state by game 4. His passes were really off at times and his shots missed the worst they ever have for him, Then him switching onto Giannis was surreal lol. But at least yesterday, it seemed like he was getting whatever he shot he wanted against their defense. Went 8/15 inside the arc, 3/11 on 3s, most of which were open.

Kyrie was torching the Bucks in the first half but he had played 23 (!) minutes in the first half. He played way too many minutes and the shot was off in the 2nd half. There were also a couple unfortunate misses (shots rimming out), but Bucks defense had nothing to do with his misses.

I also hope Harden can come back. Nevertheless, I'm so proud of this team.

This is the best time to be a Nets fan...

This is the best Nets team ever, too bad we lost a J-Kidd level facilitator who makes everyone around him better, HOWEVER, if he feels like it he can also drop 40+ on you without breaking a sweat.

Go check the poll I posted last week: "Who is the Nets MVP this year?"

James Harden won by a landslide, because everyone knows he was the straw who stirred the drink.

I could live with losing to a better team, but this @#$%#$% sucks! :banghead:

It sucks, but this isnt like the Mavs losing Luka... we have 2 all-nba players and a top 3 player (Maybe the best guy left in the playoffs) still playing. with eltie shooters around them.

We have now played the bucks 3 times without Harden. we are 1-2 and the 2 losses were super close games, including one game we led going into the 4th. the 2 losses were both close on the road and our win was a blowout.

This poster probably hasn't sat down and watched a full game of Harden on the Nets. Most folks assume that he's still playing the exact same way he played in Houston.

Yeah, we complained about him over passing and deferring too much when he came to the Nets lol.

If he was healthy for the whole season, he probably would’ve won the assist title.

Yes, the way that we’re playing against the Bucks is fantastic, but it’s definitely not due to Harden not being available.

Do you realize how much worse this would be if Harden had the ball in his hands on those Lopez drop back coverage play?

I wasn't implying that Harden played selfish, it's just a stylistic difference. Harden plays slow and attacks certain matchups, and he runs that kind of offense better than anybody. Without him there is more pace and movement to the offense, which is how you compensate for losing a talent like that.
