you'd think that none of the three offers going through is more of a reflection of the Raptors' FO than those FOs, but I guess Raps fans don't see it that way

like nobody's going around posting "could've had something for Lowry but now you missed the playoffs and might lose him for nothing" every opportunity

If the Sixers flame out of the playoffs again...not having Lowry means more than the team missing the playoffs and losing him for nothing.

And to be honest...we had him for his best years. Can't be mad at that.

That may be somewhat true...but his market value is for teams playing for now (and for the next couple of years)...and as of right now...he's still an excellent 3rd option on offence, smart defender and distributor...all things you need in order to move on in the playoffs.

If you are able to plug Lowry into your starting line-up instead of Danny Green or Seth Curry or Korkmaz...it's an instant upgrade. Between Simmons and Lowry...you'd have bodies to throw against Young and not sacrifice in shooting, passing and IQ.

If you are contending for now and the window of the next couple of years...this is a trade you make.

The problem with using Simmons and Thybulle to guard Trae is you put ZERO pressure on him defensively... and he's the Hawks weakest defender. Sixers should be attacking Trae on offense.
