Dame wont be able to accept going to a team or situation that is worse than what he had in POR. He aint young anymore in basketball years,
and thus is expected to want to be in a place where he has a chance to win a ship before he fades into the sunset.

Can the Knicks be the place where he has the chance to win it all?

Stabilized culture and coaching staff. A good foundation , lot's of cap space for an additional player to come in should Lillard come on board. A major market. There is a lot to like now coming to NY now.

Dreaming here, would Dame and Kawhi be possible? I know kawhi would most likely never leave LA.

There may have been a snowball's chance in hell if Kawhi had lost in round 1 to the Mavs. No shot he leaves now, and as such, I'm less inclined to pay whatever the cost is for Dame when we can just sign Lowry outright.

CP3 even tho at this age is worse overall player than Dame, is much much more effective and useful than Dame, especially come playoff time.

In 2019 Dame carried the blazers to the WCF, I don’t believe Paul has ever done any better..so this makes no point

I don't know if carry is the right word. CJ McCollum not only scored more, but also shot better than Dame in the WCSF against the Nuggets.

Ngl, Thought CJ was going to be the next super duper star watching that series.

Kevin Knox and Frank are deadweight. Knicks will have to unload more assets to offset their overpaid salary. Better off just keeping them and letting their salaries run out. Both these guys suck hard

Knicks will have to offer this just to get things started:

RJ
Quickley
Obi
Mitch
2021 1st Round (#19)
2021 1st Round (#21, Dallas)
2023 1st Round
2023 1st Round (Dallas)
And whatever 2nd rounders they have left

Also, sounds like Lillard is frustrated with mediocrity (not sure if playing with Knicks will be any better). Though, kinda his fault as he signed that long extension with the Blazers. His complaints could be a move to get his front office to make some moves.

Also, why is everyone saying he's 32? He's turning 31 in July.

Lastly, like mentioned before, don't trade for a star yet unless you get a 2nd star in free agency.

The Knicks don’t have the pieces to get him unless Lillard demands Ny and Portland doesn’t have a choice.

Derozan and Lonzo is more likely

Mitch
Randle
Barrett
DeRozan
Lonzo

Our PPG will be lower than in the JVG era!

Every team would play 3-2 zone against that impotent SL

Knicks will never get starplayer here forget multiple it's harsh reality it's why Riley ran all the way to miami. Sean got three superstars in BK for 1/3rd the assets Knicks have can Leon Rose top or atleast come close to that?

Why not try to build a deal around Randle tho? Randle, RJ and picks.

I think the cost to get Lillard is not worth it. He's going to be 32 years old and you basically giving up everyone on roster and every pick wit have for the next 2 years. No way, that ship has past.
Why can't we continue building the right way?? Through the draft...

Tell me how many home grown teams have won v.s. store bought teams the last 15-20 years. Warriors are more exception than rule nowadays and even they went shopping for KD.
