I'd be happy with Derrick Rose as our point to be honest. He's older, but he's gotten to be pretty efficient.
Add Rose and Jarrett Allen (need another poster on the JA bandwagon) and I feel like we've done pretty well within the constraints of our team building approach.
I like Allen, but I do worry a bit about having he and Bam in the same lineup with Jimmy. That's some tiiiiight spacing.
Butler needs to go to work with whatever shooting specialist we have to up that 3 point percentage number. I don't need him shooting 10 threes a game, but 35% is my base expectation. He's pretty good as a mid range shooter from the eye test. I think we can get by with a couple long range specialists in the lineup, as long as we have everyone contributing to their strengths (i.e., JA low post work, Bam high post work, Butler point/slashing game, etc.).
Spacing is a quality idea as long as its efficient. Can't have our team shooting 35% from three, yet extolling spacing. There is an in between, better balance available, and that's what I yearn for.
Give me Rose shooting 39% from three and getting our team set, Butler slashing, Robinson getting "open" opportunities, Bam taking those wide open mid range jumpers he passed up in the playoffs, and JA being a real force for us down low (his orating/drating differential is sick).
