Re: PG: Nets Edge Out Bucks in Game 2
There's nothing that can be done to fix this and that's depressing. No draft picks, capped out, no assets. Middleton is not an asset, everybody has seen his warts. Lopez has lowwww value. Giannis and maybe Jrue only assets (Jrue maybe not because of contract). Firing Bud won't solve anything. We're **** for next 7-8 years.

Re: PG: Nets Edge Out Bucks in Game 2
It was weird watching our team completely forget how to play basketball after that early game knockout

Charles will never pick the Bucks to win another game again.

Why just 3 weeks ago most of this board was praising horst this isnt on horst hes not the one who has no idea how adjust or play D
I was not one of them. And don’t fool yourself, Horst has done a pretty poor job drafting and constructing this roster.

Can you believe the Heat got swept by this team?

It still kills me that we don't have Brogdon. Going from him to DDV/nothing at the SG position is the moment the Bucks championship run legitimately ended.

Re: PG: Nets Edge Out Bucks in Game 2
Idk what you do going forward, Giannis is too good to be traded away but he just isn’t the one. Khris makes too much and we have no picks, Jrue is too new and you can’t trade him til the season I’m pretty sure. We have nothing else other than that. I don’t mind being a home court team and winning a series every year but at least keep some picks for the inevitable rebuild.

If the Clippers lose I could see something around a PG/Midds deal.

Re: PG: Nets Edge Out Bucks in Game 2
Win 1 or 2 games at home, lose and then trade everyone but Giannis and Jrue. Bring a normal coach without a gimmick defense who will try to erase all the bad habbits Bud and Kidd brought to the team. Bring proper shooters/scorers first and everything else second. Enough with the just defensive guys who can't do anything else other than being streaky catch and shoot only players. Bring Guards who can drive and pass on PNRs with Giannis. Practice proper switching defense, play small ball Giannis, adjust on each team specificully after 1 game and not 1 season.
We will never have another all star. It's just Giannis.
We will never have a deep team. It's just Milwaukee and their overpaid scrub leftovers of the league.
We have 6 more years of prime Giannis to try to do our best and it only has to work once.

Yep. This thread is going to be a blowout sale on agendas and I'm jumping on this one. Plenty of other issues too, but this is the one issue that holds them back the most. Not absolving Bud or Khris, but I think Giannis being even just double the spaz of any other MVP candidate, as opposed to 5 times the spaz, would change their playoff fortunes the most.

Just based on this game tonight, the league will probably never give Giannis another MVP. Regardless of how great a season he has lol.

seriously what the f happened in that week off? Did the nets send some mental assasins into the Bucks organization and assasinate all of our players fight and tenacity? we looked lost and confused, body languange when they made a shot sometimes was annoying, complaining to refs. They got in our heads. Kevin Durant is the best player in the world without question and is in a different tier of superstar than Giannis will ever be

Terrible basketball. I'd be impressed, but I'm a Bucks fan.

We need Midds to post some numbers and PG to seriously crush and burn for that to be possible.

First step is convincing Mids he doesn't need to try and go shot for shot with actual superstars, without telling him he's clearly not an actual superstar.
Second step is getting our guards to actually fight around screens and contest perimeter shots.
The rest are fixable issues but as I said after Game 1, no reason whatsoever to think this team can fix them.
Just at least play hard. When Grant Hill, one of the nicest guys around, is in effect calling you p###ies, you're definitely p###ies.
