Ewing hates Boston/Cambridge and I'll be honest, we don't really like him in Cambridge anymore either. Bad coach and a pretty meh personality off court.

I just went into it to see where people thought I was racist and how comedian said he'd ban me, found the thread somewhat boring and left. Took me a whole of 10 minutes. 8-)

Anyways, back to topic, I'll be fine with whoever, I'm always in a wait and see mode. Just hope the coach makes good impression on Tatum and Brown. We ain't drafting or even getting through FA a Tatum so the coach better be good. This is going to be a pivotal hiring.
Good assessment:

Hope not. or hope he does well cause it will matter in keeping Tatum and Brown(if we don't trade him). Whoever's coaching better be able to get to them.

I feel really old because I question whether the Tatum/Brown generation knows who Kidd is. I guess he and Jaylen could have a U. Cal-Berkeley connection, but I've never heard it mentioned.

I mean, I hated losing to Kidd but the guy was a *winner* on the court. Brilliant passer, amazing defender, all-time-great development as a shooter. I want a former player with an edge so good candidate -- if not for all the stuff like https://www.cleveland19.com/story/6101359/kidds-wife-accuses-nets-star-of-serial-infidelity-abuse/ which I just can't imagine Brad, Wyc and Co. overlooking (though I've been surprised before).

I doubt 80% of the NBA stars or even players are loyal to their women. Now, physical abuse ain't good, but it's been diregarded before Nets and Bucks did hire him, so the league might not think it was that serious or something I have no idea, cause if it was serious I doubt he'd be allowed to be anywhere near or around the league.

I want Billups. Hope he wants to be here, too.

Kidd was arrested for and pled guilty to hitting his wife. "Only" paid a fine and his career as a public figure in pro sports obviously didn't end. I think he also has a DUI or two on record. I know most of the board has already expressed how little the care about the fidelity of professional athletes after the Paul Pierce livestream incident, but Kidd's domestic abuse history is what I meant, sorry if I didn't communicate that clearly.

Well said. He's a bit of a turdy person in general. IIRC, years ago he started lobbying publicly for the Bucks' head coach position even when there was still another coach fighting for survival. You just don't do that. But hitting your wife definitely takes the cake.

Also, his coaching pedigree is not really something to be proud of.

Cassell might be better dealing with star players.

During his career as a player, Cassell was a role player playing with star players like Hakeem and KG.

Billups on the other hand was the star player on his team.

We really don't know what both of them can do as head coach, but right now Cassell is looking like the better option.

Yeah. 12 years as an assistant for Cassell. Only 1 for Billups.

And Cassell has already won a game as a head coach:

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

KD giving props to his coaching staff for getting them focused for the game, even during warmups, reminding them to be focused. I think a former player can give that. Someone that has won it all, and knows how hard it is to win. That coach is what this team needs. Cassell and Billups for me. At the end of the day, our next coach, is what tatum, smart and brown wants. I think under the scene, they have a lot of say on who our next coach would be.

Weird article with a lot of details

Other than the Zarren part, it all feels like content regurgitation from other sources.

I learned that Brad likes to play board games with his wife after the kids go to bed.
I know this will shake up Exculpatory's view of him dramatically :)

Brad loves board games water is wet. Does he ever seem like a guy who’d love board games as a grown man as him and his wife’s fun after the kids hit the hay night time activity. I’m sure they also love crocheting and baking banana bread together.
