Re: PG: Nets Edge Out Bucks in Game 2
I'm not sure some people realise what we are up against. KD in this form is unguardable. No one is stopping him, not giannis, not bron and not kawhi, no one. And he has a perfect robin in kyrie. They're the best one, two punch in the league atm. And not to mention, the beard is an option if needed. This series will be over soon.
Start looking to the offseason.

I'd be happy with any of these 5:
Vanterpool
Atkinson
Ham
Clifford
Udoka
Vanterpool
Atkinson
Ham
Clifford
Udoka
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

Re: PG: Nets Edge Out Bucks in Game 2
Obviously a tough loss... and tough to keep optimism. but this series is far from over. losing by 40 im sure shakes confidence, but if the bucks win by only 2, the series is back to 2-1 and right there. KD said after the game... "we just did what we were supposed to". It isn't a series until someone wins on the road.
Losing DDV was a bigger blow then I anticipated. The Bucks can't really go small and Lopez has been killed on pick and rolls and switches. drop coverage is a death sentence vs elite midrange guys like KD/Kyrie. He will never get enough offensive rebounds to justify being on the floor 30ish minutes. Forbes/connoughton wont be any better if they use them to go small. With DDV, you can go small with giannis at the 5 and not have a defensive liability for the Nets to hunt.
Bucks need to start trapping. especially KD. only 8 turnovers for the Nets. Nets wont lose if possessions are close. Need to tally 20-ish more possessions between turnovers and offensive rebounds. Bud seems to be really hesitant to do so. there is no way whoever KD passes to is a better option then KD singled up vs anyone. Bud needs to accept his all-NBA defenders, as great as they are, wont stop all-time great isolation scorers. need to force the ball out and make 2 guys who are average playmakers, playmakers. Make KD a paser. he is quite turnover prone.
Interested to see if the bucks fold game 3... especially if Nets start hot. They could easily make this a series again.

Do they go the respected assistant route (Vanterpool, Allen) retread route (D'Antoni, Joerger, Atkinson) let's make history/Popovich tree route (Hammon) or former player with limited experience route (Billups).
At this point I just want someone who can inspire the team when the going gets tough. Kidd was a horrible coach, but at least we went out fighting when he was coaching. Bud has a tight control on this team, and when things don't go to plan, everyone runs around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Kidd’s team in 2015 lost game 6 at home to the Bulls by 54 points.

The sooner he realizes he's basically Shaq in Orlando, and needs to go play with a Kobe or a DWade, the sooner he'll earn a championship as a No. 2. Your No. 1 has to be a player who can create for themselves and score at will no matter what the defense throws at them. The Kobes, Durants, Leonards, Lebrons don't have to sit back and hope the rest of the team can make shots if they're guarded well. They can take the team on their back and make jump shots when need be. You can't win championships hoping the rest of the cast can take over games if their best player is neutralized on offense.
So, leave Milwaukee basically.

All I can say is that after watching this series, the Bucks should never overpay for role players moving forward. Thank goodness we don't have someone like Portis signed long term to a $12 million per year contract.

That was really bad, but we did win 2 against a vastly better team. Dunleavy 2 fist punch to MCW really set the tone for that game.

I’ll respect him if he gave the front office a list quietly so we can get the most back possible

Re: PG: Nets Edge Out Bucks in Game 2
The thing with Kidd that is so puzzling to me is that he was often viewed as a coach on the court (some said he was the real coach during those Nets finals runs and Byron Scott was just along for the ride) someone with amazing vision and a understanding of the game (similar to Lebron and Magic) that I thought he would really do well as a coach. If he does get a third chance to be coach I will be curious to see if there has been any growth.

I mean that's clearly what he has to do, from now on all he will get in MKE is blame.
He's 26, it's not like he will make any giant leaps as a player, if he can't make simple shots after 15 years of basketball I'm not sure what difference another year will make. And the Bucks clearly can't bring a better player than him, so it's a dead end.
All he will achieve from now on is make MKE fans bitter.
It's time to **** off.

If the Bucks don't show more fight in this series I have to imagine we're going to shake things up as much as possible. Problem is what the hell can we possibly get for Khris Middleton's contract? I actually think Jrue was OK. Started off like 5/6 and played some decent D, but we were just in too big a hole early.

I think you probably can't be a great coach even if you are a basketball genius if you're a real-world idiot.

The Bucks haven't just failed us, they've failed the whole NBA. This was supposed to be The series to watch. One for history. Instead, they give us a complete garbage product.

I think the more interesting question is who will hire Bud after he gets fired from the Bucks? At some point front offices will see a pattern with his teams basically getting swept (or gentlemen swept) every time to get eliminated from the playoffs. I guess a team like Charlotte that's desperate to make the playoffs may take a shot at him.

Midds for CJ makes sense. Change of scenery for both players. Yeah...Midds DEF is better, but that's not saying much come playoff time.
