Most fans want rookies and 2nd year players moved on if they don't hit the ground running.

What is crazy is that Jalen Smith doesn’t even play for this team. He is not going to be a bust.

I guess you've watched a lot of Jalen given you're a Maryland fan?

That's the big upgrade here, let's be honest. It's not just his on-court play, which is clearly 1000x that of Rubio (barely an NBA worthy player), but the fact that he instills leadership and a calm demeanor necessary to close out games.

No argument there. But there were a lot of other factors here that make CP3 work well here. We can't let him play reasonable minutes without Cam Payne playing good backup minutes. We don't become a top defensive team without Ayton, Bridges, Crowder. We don't maintain a balanced offense without Booker's maturation. Like I said, so many factors.

Put it another way. Orlando was 33-40 last season and actually made the playoffs. Do you think Chris Paul going to Orlando would make them the 2nd best team in the league? Of course not.

Orlando wasn't as good as Phoenix last year but they were in a weaker conference. If CP3 went there this year I think they'd be a good team similar to how he turned OKC around. The guy is just a winner and it's a damn shame he hasn't made the Finals. Hopefully this year. This Phoenix team is a pure joy to watch.

exactly. Phoenix was not just some lottery team even last year. That's why CP3 went there in the first place.

One game down. That’s all. Blow outs in game one usually don’t mean much. In game 5 they do because all the adjustments have been made. Not talking about KD and Harden when we still have business to do in Denver.

Just a game 1. Nuggets were outplaying suns for 2.5 qtrs then just crumbled. Playoffs are all about adjustments. Jokic and Nuggs are too good to not bounce back. And not we will get many games like that from Bridges

What Ayton and the Suns really did was run Jokic up and down the floor and tired him out. After that he was not effective any longer. He had a good first half. Somebody else said it...the Suns have the athleticism advantage and they used it.

The Suns have been making it a habit of being able to come back in the second half despite being down the entire first half.

Suns shooters are streaky as hell though so the Nuggets aren't going to be swept so they absolutely can still make this a 6-7 game series.

Ayton outplayed Jokic.

If the Suns face the Nets in the Finals, will there be an even bigger rooting interest for them than when the Mavs faced the Heat?

Can't do it alone, not against this team. Morris need to show up, MPJ too, Barton has to return soon.

Suns looked great. They played with a ton of energy and just wore out the Nuggets with their pace.

game seemed really even in the 1st half. Nuggets got the jump first half of the 3rd quarter, and from there it was all Phoenix. But yes, it's just one game and it's important that our young players don't feel overconfident.

I think everybody outside the NY area and maybe LA would root for the Suns in that case.

I thank the baby jesus every morning that Oubre is no longer a Sun. Thank God.

Look, this series - if DA can match Joker this is a sweep. I'm not sure he can, but come on. Joker needs to be super human and MPJ needs to produce more than 24 mins a game. I dont see any of it though. Denver was near perfect in the 1st half and Suns were awful. Result is a blowout Suns win. I predicted Suns in 5. I wish I could change to sweep but can still see Denver getting game 3. This is an easy 2nd round win for the Suns. Hope paperClips and Spazz beat the $^@ out of each other.

Sarver better open the wallet in the offseason. He has a chance to redeem himself for the Joe Johnson thing.
