Moderators: bwgood77, lilfishi22, Qwigglez

Will we extend Bridges or will Sarver not pay 4 players big money for 1 or 2 years?

Yes, we extend him or at least match any offer as he is part of core

That's really cool of them! They were definitely fan favorites during their time here! I also wouldn't mind at all having Holmes back, IF he wasn't going to likely cost above the MLE. ** Also, Crawford would be a fine mentor for a player like Bones Hyland or another potential microwave scorer?

I doubt it. But funny you mention. I started to write a post about maybe trading Saric for him, possibly in a 3 way if he opted in. He seems like a guy that might need a new situation but would have to be a guard off the bench. He can handle and has been a decent shooter in the past.

I don't know why he hasn't played as well since Miami though. I thought of Payne though and how our 3 guard rotation is pretty solid so I don't know if we need him unless we were to see injury to one of our 3 guards, or if Payne left for whatever reason.

One thing I've learned about James Jones is that he doesn't take flyers on guys. He brings players in who want to be here, who buy in, who are ready to work in an assigned role and earn their minutes.

Which is all to say, players are either on our short list or they're not, and I don't feel I have any clue who would or wouldn't be on it.

I agree that Saric is the player who is most likely to be sent packing, as pretty much everyone else on the roster seems to be succeeding in their role. I could see us losing Craig or even Frank to a team willing to offer more money, but like most here I expect us to pay Cam Payne. Richardson could be a good add if we lose Craig.

I really hope CP3 doesn't try to break our bank and accepts something closer to $30 per year than to $40, but I'm not counting on it. I supported Sarver's low-cost approach during the tank with the expectation that he would spend big when the time came, but I didn't expect our roster to get so expensive so fast. It's going to be hard to put a supporting cast around these guys if doing so puts us in danger of paying the repeater tax. Then again I hear all the new age factories are being built in AZ, so who knows. Maybe Phoenix is a big enough market now to support that kind of investment. Those Valley jerseys are dope.

Richardson is a very good role player. And I don't see any way any team offers Frank anything more than the minimum so doubt that scenario is possible. He really shouldn't even play on our team, and I could argue he's the worst player in the NBA for 2 years in a row now. Could see Craig getting paid for a bigger role elsewhere though.

It would literally fix our only major weakness (front court depth).

Holmes had a really good year though and I’m sure he’s looking to get paid. I hope he gets it too, he deserves it.

I'd take him because he can guard 3s. So I think we could play him at the 2 and 3. That said, I would also consider adding Duarte on draft night. He'll be able to play immediately on a good team imo, and as a rookie his cap number will be low. Moving Dario & Frank and adding Duarte may allow us to sign a good backup big. Between Stix and the backup signee, would likely round out the rotation.

Also, I'm not completely out on Dario despite the recent struggles, but we need a backup big with athleticism for these playoff matchups. It really, really sucks that Stix is so apparently unplayable.

I was never a fan of letting him go but I can't imagine we'll have the room for him unless his market is so bad he has to sign for an exception.

Hilariously, I wouldn't mind Len. He's a playable big. We need a backup big who is playable.

Yeah, big NO to Len.

I have nightmares about him yet...worst hands ever and every perimeter player with decent handles can score on him easily every **** time.

McGee is not doing better with 3mpg in two games during the playoffs. Jones is a genius, he knew Suns need someone like Craig in the finals vs Nets more than a stiff big.

Saric was passable tonight. I still have faith that Stix doesn't suck. Monty and JJ have been right about alot of things that we all weren't fans of originally, hopefully they will be right about him too.

A full offseason complete with summer league and access to the weight room will do wonders for that kid. I remember his draft notes said he's a hard worker. Give him another year.

But we could have had both, and we need a big who can defend and rebound, to get to the finals. It was Jones' biggest mistake in my opinion.

He is a definite starter. I hoped to keep him over Baynes back in the day..he had a small cap hold compare to what Baynes did and we traded a first for 1 year of Baynes and Ty Jerome.

Even if he wanted a starting role now and we had him, he'd be a great trade piece.

Now I haven't watched him but he's been a top 30 or so fantasy player for 2 years running, which likely means a few things. That he excels in at least 4 categories it tracks, like FG%, boards, blocks, and FT% (near 80%). He may really be the Kings best player behind Fox and maybe Hield and/or Haliburton.

Luckily we don't need Saric or Frank outside of Ayton's rest time, which is maybe 7 or 8 minutes, possibly more, and really don't need them then if we go small with Craig/Crowder/Cam and Craig is a great rebounder..better than Saric or Frank.

Denver didn't really play a backup big when Jokic sat...JaMychal Green and Millsap but Craig and Crowder can guard those guys, or even Cam.

Also, the Clips play pretty small as do the Nets. Utah plays Favors 15 minutes or so a game when Gobert rests but that isn't much either. Craig or Crowder could guard him too if needed.

Does anyone have that youtube video from when Crawford hit the buzzer beater on the Bucks?
The beginning of the video showed the Bucks announcer saying something like, 'it's not a matter of if the bucks win, but by how much'.
Then they show the winner and then back to the announcer with that silly music being played.

Good. Of all the teams left in either conference only the sixers would play a rotation where Saric is at a size disadvantage as the backup C.
