Certainly right but hysteria builds, superstitions rein supreme, the occult has a certain appeal to humans. There's always a story behind a story fascination, but the Knicks hit the rocks because they failed in getting the right guys. The simple explanation.

What I think they did wrong was trying to stop thinking big. Melo and Amar'e gameplan was good, those guys just didn't work out for XYZ reasons together. If you're in NY and LA, you have to keep trying to hit homeruns I think. You have a big advantage and dabbling in tanking or whatever is overlearning the lessons of failure.

i sort of agree but not really about the tanking part. the nets got in trouble trying to put together a super team with guys who were too old and as soon as they were able to recover from that, the very first thing they did was put together another super team. it's a stars league. but if you can't sign them, you might as well tank because you might get lucky and draft one. culture is for yogurt.
