There's a wide gap between us and them, they are younger as a team than we are, there's no moral victories in looking up and realizing a young team is way ahead of you.

It’s on the FO more than anything to get Thibs more offensive talent

We might be watching the rapid death of a certain style of basketball...

Which one, just out of curiosity?

I think the fit between Simmons and Embiid is the core of the issue.

They're a remarkable duo defensively but the Sixers should've traded Simmons years ago.

The Harden non-trade was a debacle for Philly.

For me it's tying up all of your money in defensive/interior players and surrounding them with one dimensional spot up jump shooters. The Sixers are really paying three guys. Tobias/Embiid get their points midrange, on the block. Simmons is a non-entity in the halfcourt.. This style of play was fine even a few years ago but now you really need a go-to scorer to be able to create on the perimeter, not just stand around waiting for a pass.

This is what happened on Sunday. They had no direct answer for Embiid but ATL kept answering with 3s... ATL has one guy who can score from all three levels, Philly has none... They just don't have an answer for him.

He has one guy who fits that mold (let's remove 32 year old Derrick Rose from that conversation)... IQ... and we saw his commitment to giving the kid minutes... Thibs wanted to outhustle other teams during the regular season and we saw how much that fell flat in the playoffs.

I dont have confidence that he has the interest in developing the type of (young) talent best suited for the modern NBA. He's still going to favor defensive bruisers.

yo i literally was thinking the same thing earlier ironically lol. Hawks remind me of that 2014 warriors team coming up.

Travis Schlenk did come from the Warriors with the same blueprint in hand.

Warriors East

Has he ever come out smelling like roses. Of the three teams that don't have Doncic, he did pretty well.

Realistically the approximate level we could hope for out of Julius is Tobias. But Tobias is a smarter player.

Embiid's conditioning is still not great. He's able to do this at like 85% of where he should be. His mouth is open a lot out there gasping for some air.

Tonight, Capella looks to be about half as large as when the played against Noel. He really shrunk.

For the sake of the game, I'd love to see Dame in Philly... That inside-outside attack would be so lethal.

Our starting 5 in the playoffs

35
26
20
30
32

Their starting 5

27
23
23
28
22

Not to mention Huerter who would start for us over Bullock, or Reddish who has been out. They're younger and better, their young core actually plays substantial minutes.

Yeah he killed it that draft in the 1st round but he messed up trading Devonte Graham. Would have been a perfect backup to Trae.
