WTH has this organization really been doing to address the Knick's backcourt all these decades?

I dont even know...We have had some of the worst backcourts imaginable

Its really mortifying how the Knicks failed to get a good player at the upper picks every year....
But they seem to nail it at the 20s -- truly head-scratching

Nailing is a stretch. We get replaceable role players who look better than they are given a bigger role.

You do realize that defense wins games? Just take a look at all of Thibs' rings...

In all seriousness, we have to do whatever it takes to eventually get Donovan, Booker, that tier of SG here... Clearly being smallish and not playing much defense doesn't matter anymore. If your team doesn't have one of these guys in the future, you're not winning anything.

In all seriousness, we have to do whatever it takes to eventually get Donovan, Booker, that tier of SG here... Clearly being smallish and not playing much defense doesn't matter anymore. If your team doesn't have one of these volume scoring perimeter guys in the future, you're not winning anything.

I remember the talent scouts preferring Donovan, and he was their pick, but Phil then vetoed it saying he preferred a true PG and two way player.... LOL... Biggest con-man in the history of the game.

I was hoping that was a Mills thing but then we drafted Obi too. At least Quickley looks decent

Phil really effed up taking Frank over Donovan because he was thinking classic "team building" instead of "holy s*** we don't have any talent here, we need to just draft the best player available, regardless of positional fit."

But to be fair, nobody saw this coming from Donovan. He was a good college player (late bloomer) but not dominant... Perfect example of a player's game being better suited for the NBA than college.
