Luka averaged 36 Pts vs Clippers while shooting over 40% from 3. And most of his 3's are contested step backs & bombs from deep.

It's crazy.

I hope he gets in proper shape before the season.

Maybe for him it's better plays than goes to holiday, he doesn't put weight hahahaha

The next step is involving everyone at the right time. Learning that basketball is 5 vs 5. He already has proven he can take defenders 1 on 1. Now he cant do 1 vs 5. There is a learning curve for year 4

Donnie nice try. First bring some starter players then we will talk.

Right now, Doncic gets the ball and passes it. The player either shoots or gives it back to Doncic. There's really no one else to give it to except maybe Brunson if he's playing next to Doncic.

The obvious solution to Doncic's ball usage is to put another playmaker along side him in a starter's role. If there's someone else next to him who can set up other players, the ball won't get immediately passed back to Doncic.

Luka's priority should be FTs and conditioning. More emphasis on FTs. The goal should be 80% for next season.

30.6. vs Angola :)

Slovenia has some nice ballhandlers and playmakers. Better than Dallas. He will play a bit different role I guess.

Maybe for European standards but i would still say not really... If Goran doesn't play, there is no one i would trust with the ball more than Luka. Check what happened in the last tournament when we lost to freaking no name countries lol... If Vidmar, Prepelic and Cancar play it will be huge for Doncic, otherwise we could see same stuff we saw from him in the playoffs.

What's the full roster? Have they announced it?

I see they may have to beat Lithuania in the final. I guess Slovenia may even be underdogs against them.

JAKA BLAŽIČ (Cedevita Olimpija), VLATKO ČANČAR (Denver Nuggets, ZDA), ŽIGA DIMEC (Cedevita Olimpija), LUKA DONČIĆ (Dallas Mavericks, ZDA), ZORAN DRAGIĆ (Saski Baskonia, Španija), GREGOR GLAS (Dynamic, Srbija), ALEN HODŽIĆ (Cedevita Olimpija), GREGOR HROVAT (Cholet, Francija), JAN KOSI (Krka), MARTIN KRAMPELJ (Ilirija), LUKA LAPORNIK (Krka), MIHA LAPORNIK (Den Bosch Heroes, Nizozemska), JURIJ MACURA (FMP Beograd, Srbija), BLAŽ MAHKOVIC (Helios Suns), BLAŽ MESIČEK (Split, Hrvaška), EDO MURIĆ (Cedevita Olimpija), ALEKSEJ NIKOLIĆ (Gravelines, Francija), ALEN OMIĆ (JL Bourg Basket, Francija), KLEMEN PREPELIČ (Valencia, Španija), MATIC REBEC (OraSi Ravenna, Italija), LUKA RUPNIK (Cedevita Olimpija), ŽAN MARK ŠIŠKO (Bayern, Nemčija), MIHA ŠKEDELJ (Krka), GAŠPER VIDMAR (Umana Reyer Venezia, Italija)

Slovenia is underdog, big problems with C position.

Difficult under Fiba rules. Paint will be totally closed, no defensive 3 seconds, and there's less spacing. Drawing fouls is more difficult too and defenders allowed to play D.

Look, Dallas has no playmakers. Most of the starters can't even dribble under pressure. In this regard Slovenia has a different roster. Less bigs, less shooting, better playmakers. They will have to play different to have a chance.

I think Goran said he won't play anymore, but we'll see. We play 2 friendly games against Croatia before tournament. Zubac will have nightmares again  (If they both play by that time obviously)

I'd like to see Luka improve defensively. Get him to do footwork drills and workouts to improve his defensive footwork.
He should train with some of the elite defenders in this league.

Also a high priority is to get his strength and conditioning way up. He should probably work on his back and shoulders since he's having to carry the team on his back on a nightly basis.

I think the free throws issues are more of a mental lapse. Get him with a sports psychologist, fix those woes and improve his on-court body language. When Luka slumps, the team slumps.

Luka led the league in usage this season at 36.0%, I think we all knew that. I just saw this stat. Luka's usage spiked to an insane 40.4% during the playoffs. That's a problem. By comparison during the '15-'16 Championship season for LeBron & the Cavs, James' usage was 30.7% during the playoffs.
