Again, a guy that’s about 40-50% accurate on average.

Lee Corso rule: whatever kind of coach you had, the next one should be the opposite. I hope Woody means it when he says IU is his dream job because he's the older, black, experienced coach who checks all of the opposite boxes.

I'm actually a little surprised. I really thought KP was on the "run it back" mindset.

It's definitely not an unwelcome change though. Bjorkgren really didn't succeed in any category. You can be disliked by the players if your style leads to wins. You can disappoint in the W column to some degree if maintain professionalism, build a culture, and work towards the future. You can make mistakes on the job if it seems like you're learning and growing and others around you are also. I'm not sure you can point to any part of the Bjorkgren time here and say that's something you can build on going forward.

I haven't listened to this yet but I will after Pritchard's presser.

Disappointing season. Looked like a great hire at the time.

Would be interested in what Stotts would be able to do with this roster but his mediocre success with the Blazers does not excite me.

I loved the "six degree of Gregg Popovich" line from KP's press conference, about how many people in the league have played with each other or for the same coaches over time.

I listened to the presser, and one thing that struck me is this - KP is not sure the team has a guy (currently) on the team who will hold other players accountable. He said he talked to various players about that, and about leadership in general, but I don't think he was convinced by their responses. He mentioned the way Al Jefferson used to do things, leadership wise, and thinks this is missing.

He also kept going back and forth between the team's old blue collar identity, and the need for more on the shooting/scoring/offensive side of the game. To me, he sounds indecisive about direction. As though he was still thinking it through as he was talking. If he doesn't have some idea by now, that is troubling.

If I could make a suggestion to him it would be something like hiring D'Antoni as coach with Dan Burke as defensive assistant.

some of us are old enough to remember when it was Byron Scott who got the team to understand what it took to contend for championships.

I mean, I’m not terribly old, but I definitely remember that time period. I remember being heartbroken at Scott being taken in that expansion draft by Toronto.
