take that job brad!!!!

Brad Stevens name will definitely come up in rumors. Can't see it happening.

I can dream.

Although Brad might make a kemba trade that is killer and change everything.

Unless Brad is Mr. Miyagi and apply some magic touch to fix Kemba's knee, I doubt it

I hope Brad thinks out of the box and automatically strikes off his list anyone the Globe mentions as a coaching candidate.

Read on Twitter

"I’ve done really well in my career by focusing on myself in the moment," Lawson said during a recent Bleacher Report AMA. "I loved my time in Boston. I loved coaching those players. It was a special time in my life. The speculation, you can chase a lot of rabbits down a lot of holes."

Hmmmmmm not a denial

Brad interviews a lot of potential candidates then ends up giving the job to Jay Larranaga!

That describes many GM’s in the league.

I mean he was a top 10 coach in the league. Unless you think any of these assistants on these teams are better then Brad as a coach that’s on you lmaooo

Eh, we’ve hired one coach in like 15 years and everything about him is able to stay secret cuz his wife is his agent. Its pretty obvious that shes never going to leak anything. Im guessing we dont see a similar fact pattern this go round.

His wife's his agent?
That explains a lot.

Then again, he's loaded and the commissions stay in the family. Kinda weird though, too close for comfort.

The coach doesn't really need to be involved in the draft process.

Brad and the front office guys will handle that.

I think it's wise if the Celts take their time.

No need to rush in choosing the next coach of the Celtics.

Yes but I'd bet my neighbor's boat that Stevens was massively involved in picking his guys in the Cs drafts, especially the past several if not from year one.

Wonte be a decision until some of the coaches still coaching have a chance to interview.

I firmly believe it will not be Sam Cassell who is the head coach (I love it) and he cannot even be interviewed right now.

Head Coach - Sam Cassell
Assistant - Lloyd Pierce
Assistant - Kenny Atkinson

be a lethal coaching group there, imo.

I would be 100% behind that coaching staff.

For the life of me, I always wondered why Stevens never brought in experienced former HCs as assistant coaches. Instead, he relied on C level coaches from college.

He was very collegiate.

I'm sure she is. I was only kidding. Reminds me of Ray Allen having a lawyer represent him for a flat fee rather than a fat commission coming out if UConn. He thought why pay all those commissions for relatively slam dunk negotiations.

Jaylen Brown does the same thing.

That's smart of him too. The rules to the contracts seem to favor this method. Curm what's your thoughts on Caron Butler or Hurley as NBA coaches? Or some other Big East connection to the Celts HC position?
