I honestly can't recall anyone liking the pick but stomaching it because he was really young. some might have convinced themselves he could be a Booker like case but that obviously is not the case.

edit: welp.

The league is full of guys like this. To a point where if you randomly select a player's name, you have a 51% chance of being right. Have at it. Whoof.

& imagine not having enough IQ points to figure this out as a kid/NBA player

dude was so sheltered when he finally got to talk to lebron it was about how to tune out social media....

the rumors about who this kid was pre-draft were 100% spot on. soft and sheltered. also completely jives with why hes been so good in summer league every year but then complete trash when given opportunities early in the regular season every year.
“He was all smiles after the game,’’ Knox said. “I was telling him about social media, that I had deleted the apps and he was telling me, ‘Yeah man, what if I went on social media and looked at the comments of me getting my shot blocked by Mario [Hezonja].’ He started laughing and he was just like, all that stuff is just poison. He was like, ‘I’m not even going to go on social media. It’s just one game, I’ve got a lot more games left. You’re not going to make every single game-winning shot.’ He just had a positive attitude, even after a loss and a great block by Mario. He had a positive attitude and just gave me as much advice as he could.”

Pippen and KD were two of the more popular comparisons.

There's a lot of posters on here currently that are not happy this thread was bumped.

Kevin Knox is what happens when you roophie an iguana and put a basketball jersey on it before it wakes up and flicks its tongue again

I was not being sarcastic at all. You kind of nailed it, when everyone else is saying Knox is the next KD. I was being very serious. Believe me, I know it's hard to do that around here without giving in. The pressure that's put on posters who don't tow the line and say every player we ever drafted is great is hard to go against. People want to run you out if you don't agree with every pick, every trade, etc.

So, kudos to you.
