Where he go? KLOE
What team does Kyle Lowry end up competing for next year? Where does our beloved star go? How does free agency pan out for the GROAT?

He is going to re-sign in Toronto for 50m.

Re: Where he go? KLOE
I think it's Philly. Embiid's injury just shows how tight of a window they have, so they're going to be super desperate and they don't have a ton of impact moves they can make because of salary limitations. Hill, Curry, Tolliver, and Maxey or a 1st for a S&T Lowry. I can't see them getting in on Kemba realistically because they don't have the matching salaries.
I don't see him signing with Dallas - I could see them getting in on Kemba. They're going to make some moves. Lowry's limited to pretty much 5 destinations (LAx2, Miami, Philly, Toronto), I think, and they may want to go younger given Luka's timeline.
Masai is a businessman so either of the LA teams are options but I just can't see them doing any sort of deal with LAC. They have role players but no picks and with the Kawhi thing, I don't see it.
Miami is the wild card. They may get in on Kemba. Unless they renounce all their cap holds, they won't have the space outright to sign him despite what people will tell you.

Re-sign him unless there’s a better option available. I don’t want to hand the keys to the offence over to Fred.

Re: Where he go? KLOE
I just don't want to see the Lowry / Fred backcourt, so if we re-sign Lowry I'd want to move Fred, even if it's at the trade deadline.
Lowry doesn't move the needle for our team at the end of the day. We're a couple players away from being from being a couple players away.
I hope he finds a way to sign with Philly.

Every time it looks like he's gone he's back in a Raptors jersey again, so I'd hedge my bets in that direction. There's lots of reasons other teams could talk themselves out of him.

Hard to tell. Signs point to him leaving but I wouldn't be shocked if he stayed. Especially if we offered him a big short term deal.

Re: Where he go? KLOE
I've been saying Lakers for a while. It was kind of weird for Kyle to play against them, and absolutely ball out, just as he did in the Lakers game in the bubble. I'm just not 100% sure if it could work with Lakers using their #22 to pick for the Raptors, and then transfer the rights over to the Raptors after the S&T is consumated. I'm not sure if Lakers can transfer enough assets to the Raptors to make the deal work at Lowry's new salary (~$20 mill), and stay under the hard cap.
My preference after the Raps-Clippers game was to get that Terance Mann guy, but I don't think the Clippers would given him up now. Also, their 2021 pick is less favourable than the Lakers. Reggie Jackson is better than I thought - why not stay with him? Kyle has a strong connection with Ty Lue, but unless they lose to the Jazz, I don't know if they'd be willing to gut their team to bring in Lowry. OTOH, they need a strong on-court leader.
I just don't see that Sixers have the assets to match Kyle's new salary. Danny Green will be long gone.
I think Lowry will simply walk to the Knicks, probably with DeMar. It solves some problems if Raps are a cap space team, and re-sign Birch with the room exception.

Re: Where he go? KLOE
Resign Lowry for 2 years, at 21 m a year (around the same rate as Fred). Then trade FVV, along with Boucher, the 7th pick, and a lottery protected first round pick to move up the draft 3 spots if you can (If Raptors stay at 7). I am hesitant in paying Boucher a big contract next year. I think the 2 pg small back court of Lowry and FVV has run its course. Looking at the cap, it makes sense to trade FVV if we sign Lowry regardless.

Not that I think it will happen but Denver would be a perfect fit for him and push them to a legitimate title contender.

Based on lack of trade market interest and his past free agencies I don’t think there will be many suitors willing to pay the high price tag Kyle is seeking.
Not surprised if he re-signs here but I’m ready to move on from the Kyle era as well. If we end up with a top 4 pick I would like us to re-sign him to help mentor the rookie while also giving the option to trade Kyle/Fred down the road.

If he comes back, I’d like it to be a two year deal with no player option.
A one year contract would lower his value in trades.
A team option would be ideal.

If Rapz thought they were close to a deal with Philly at the deadline then maybe Danny Green comes back with Maxey and KL gets 2 yrs 34m to go home. I cannot see his market exceeding that especially with his home address assured.

Fred is replacing Lowry. Writing is on the wall.

Re: Where he go? KLOE
For all these years Fred has been grromed to take over Kyle's spot. I understand that Feed is not Kyle.. but at some point we have to cut the cord with Kyle, and that day ain't that far, so tell me who is your starting point guard.
If we get rid of Kyle, let's aim for a good scoring shooting guard, we need some fire power from that position, not day saying it will happen but Beal is the perfect player to take that spot. Damian Lillard..also not going to happen... C.J McCollum also not going to happen... But someone with that mold, someone who will drop 15-20 points a night.
Fred is the perfect replacement for Lowry, the coach trusts a guy like Fred on the floor - now if you are getting someone like Jamal Murray, u make that deal happen. I don't think Freddy is getting traded though.
In terms of Kyle, there is nothing we want that's out there .. actually DeMar on the team right now makes sense..but he won't come back..so I can see the Raps being Kyle back.
