It's a free transfer, correct?
Could be Juve then no?

Are they unhappy with Szczęsny?

I don't think so, but Donnarumma is an upgrade, plus he's Italian and only 22 years old.
He could be their keeper for the next 15 years, like Buffon.

There are reports that Barca also want him.
Would be strange since they have Ter Stegen.

Sounds like we've signed Ryan Bertrand from the Saints. 6 or 7 years ago that would've been a good signing. Now he's just backup. Doesn't always give 100% and can be a petulant player. I don't like him but perhaps he's the type of player you only like when he's on your team. Chose us over an Arsenal offer apparently.

Besides the obvious ones, my dream signing for CFC is Aurelian Tchouameni. Future star and Ngolo Kante regen.

Ligue 1 YPOTY and was on the TOTS. Reports that we like Rice, Kamara and him to differing degrees. He'll be the best of the bunch, and is a necessary acquisition if we want to play with a back four next season.

Maxence Lacroix too who was one of the best young defenders in the Bundesliga.

I hate how United and us share so many common targets.

This Lukaku thing sounds like a matter of when, not if anymore now that Conte's left inter. Kane to City is also pretty much a formality.

Rumours are Conte is going to Real and wants to take Lukaku with him.

Heard he's already agreed to terms on a 5 year with Chelsea and he's even got Inter to lessen his release clause so he could be acquired easier, but who knows. If Rom was off the table they'd probably throw the world at Sancho. They want to spend money again this summer. I've heard a swap deal with Hudson-Odoi + cash was being discussed.

I think RM want Mbappe, + they already have Benzema so that'd be a weird fit

edit: Unless it Haaland, Kane or Lewa - i'd almost rather avoid getting a #9 this year and just run Havertz there. Chase after a winger like Felix or Grealish.

I'm glad Arsenal pulled out of the bidding war to get Buendia.
34m pounds + add-ons is far too much.

In other news:
Xhaka is going to AS Roma for about 20M
Guendouzi reportedly going to Marseille for about 12M
In talks to get Ruben Neves, Bissouma and Lokonga.

That's exciting.

Buendia is a decent player, not sure it was too expensive.
Xhaka leaving is a plus for Arsenal.
Guendozi is a good player, I think arsenal could have used him - very cheap.
Those players would be good buys but talk and purchases are not the same thing.

Guendouzi bottled it himself, but I rate him pretty high.
I guess they'll fully pull the card of Willock.

Esepcially at Arsenal, there are always a lot of 'talks' according to media.

Leicester getting Edouard and Soumaré is great business (again) btw!

Here's my two cents on Spain:

Atlético are in the catbird seat after winning La Liga, but we'd better not rest on our laurels. I have heard 2 substantive rumors of swap deals. Juventus is hoping to keep Morata, but are rumored to prefer sending Dybala to us rather than pay the option. I would love this, as I think Paulo is a better fit, the type of creative forward we need. The other is Saúl for Bernardo Silva, which I do not prefer. I think our midfield needs defense and possession more than creativity. Other than that, I think it's the right time to sell. Trippier will never be in better form, and Manchester United are offering 30m. If we can get Vrsaljko and Arias healthy, we'll be fine at RB, but I would like to reinforce the position by adding Azpilicueta.

Barcelona have the best attacking depth in the league, and still might sign Depay on a free! I don't know where he would play, though, since Messi, Griezmann, fellow FA Aguero, Fati and Dembele all deserve time. They are hoping to add a premier young CB like Kounde or De Ligt, but they have no money. They also have chased Donnarumma, which would be another brilliant free agent signing, but it might not sit well with MaTS.

Real have highlighted this summer on their calendar to pursue Pogba and Mbappé, though Zidane's departure may have impacted that project. Signing FA Alaba might block Militao at CB temporarily, but I think it had more to do with preparing for Marcelo's (continued) decline. Asensio, Rodrygo and Junior have extremely bright futures, but for now they would benefit from adding a great veteran forward to take scoring pressure off of the 32yo Benzema. Of course, they still have Hazard and Bale on the books...

What the heck, let me lay down some top predictions for the summer transfer window:

1) Haaland to Chelsea for 120mil euros + Abraham

2) Kane to Manchester City for 100mil euros + Jesus

3) Depay to Juventus on a free transfer

4) Sancho to Manchester United for 90mil euros

5) Lukaku to Real for 75mil euros + Jovic

6) Andre Silva to Liverpool for 50mil euros

7) Calhanoglu to Barcelona on a free transfer

8) Dybala to Atlético for Morata

9) Brozovic to Atlético for 25mil euros

10) James Rodriguez to Roma for 15mil euros

I see Hazard, Pogba, Salah and other big names staying put. Tell me where I'm wrong!

1) Haaland aint moving unless someone offers200 mil. He is the best young player on the planet.
2) City don't have the money to spend 100 on Kane.
3) Depay is going to Barca.
4) Might happen but unlikely IMHO.
5) Might happen but Real doesn't have a lot of cash at hand currently.
6) Atletico or City
7) Dunno. Barca seems to pick up every homeless football player these days.
8) Atletico have Felix...kind of a similar player. I don't see the fit.
9) Will remain at Inter
10) Could happen.

Hazard ain't even anything but a big name anymore these days. Don't think anyone would want his per salary production on the squad. Real gotta hope he recovers.

Would you have called it for Wijnaldum last week as well?

We all know that Barcelona were in pole position for his signature, and now he's at PSG. The same may well happen with Depay. They are up against the La Liga salary limit, and Juventus have presented Memphis a better wage offer. Ultimately though, I think it's Barca's mouths that cannot foot the bill. They can promise him a prominent role, but just looking at their rosters, it's clear that Juve have more of a need for him.

Is La Liga going back to full crowds?

Barca was one of the highest grossing clubs in the world, over 300 million Euros IIRC.

Are people still watching their matches and buying jerseys?

I'm convinced that Spurs will be a much better team if they can offload Kane. But why would anyone want to pay £100m for such a plodder?

German media saying Depay to Barca is finalized.
Think Koeman is a big factor in this, wanted him last year already.

Probably because he's scored 237 goals in his club career, and just lead the Premier League in both goals and assists despite being injured for a chunk of the season. We will in no shape or form be a better team without him unless we buy well, which won't happen, we can't even get a manager in. He has looked crap for England but everyone does.
