Mitch + RJ + Knox + picks for KAT

Obi + IQ + picks for Lavine

KAT / Noel / Taj
Randle
Bullock
Lavine / Burks
Rose / Luka

Treadmill team? Probably.

Maybe we get GS involved, keep Mitch.
I could see Warriors being interested in Randle for Wiseman

Pass on Westbrook, Wall or Kemba unless we are getting picks.

For the right price I'd sign Lonzo

Look for buy low opportunities on anyone else. There are almost always some players that go for cheap after the initial frenzy.

That's why I like the Kemba deal. If we get a pick out of it, we can have Kemba-Rose and together have 1.75 funtional knees. But also we would be able to take a small step up regular season-wise and with health play-off wise as well.

Knicks are rumored to be interested in Nunn from Miami. Not sure if that is agent fodder or real, but it tells me our guys are looking at the small-fish.

If we're talking about trades, I think we may look at Brogdon (Indy) and Grant (Detroit).

I could see a Kemba and assets to NY, KP to Boston, salary cap space to Dallas deal.

They aren't going anywhere without attaching picks or decent player.

What are the Knicks doing to work out Vildoza and see how he really performs? This would seem to be critical - either he's a bench player, or he's a rotation player. It would seem they need to decide before they trade/sign/draft talent. Right?

Either way, he's better than Asston Rivers.

I have a hard time believing that thibs who just got fired partially due to kat would want him here.
Westbrook? If that happened that would mean that washington is rebuilding and in in that scenario the knicks would target beal not westbrook.
Butlers not even realistic speculation at this point.

List def needs a good edit

The idea is if the Kings win the lottery and select Cade Cunnigham, then Fox may become available. You can replace Fox with Cunnigham and Bagley with Randle. Kings probably won’t do it but that’s where the idea stems from.

why would they theoretically trade a proven player, their best player for an unproven one? That would just be silly

I wouldnt rule it out right away, but would really need to be worthwhile and depend on the exact deal. Kemba's got a pretty bad contract and looks like he is on the decline with injuries. He would pretty much take us out of adding anyone else substantial via free agency...i'd probably need like 2 or 3 or 4 picks at a min

Leon Rose was his agent, and the Cavs could end up moving him if they draft a guard/wing, it's pretty clear they like Garland as their PG of the future.

I have him as a potential breakout candidate in the right situation. And I believe we are the right situation. Thibs and Rose will get him right. Collin's intensity was made for Thibs like Sprewell and JVG.

Lonzo would be my second choice.

Healthy John Wall is still a beast. He had some big games against good teams.

Of course the biggest factor is his ability to stay healthy. So he’s not my main target. But if we strike out everywhere else and we can get Wall along with some assets, I’m in.
“Instead of having another year of the grind of working to get back, it can be an offseason of maintenance and kind of taking care of his body, as opposed to trying to strengthen and fix,” Silas said of Wall.

Having a healthier body might also help Wall with shooting, which is arguably his biggest deficiency as a player. While Wall’s shooting numbers in Houston were subpar, it’s worth noting he shot 44.1% from the field and 35.1% on 3-pointers over his first 19 games with the Rockets.

Then, as injuries mounted over the remaining 21 games, those percentages slipped to 37.4% and 29.0%, respectively. Houston’s hope is that the first half of Wall’s 2020-21 is more representative of what can be expected in 2021-22, assuming his body is physically ready.

I would take John Wall and two 1st rounders for cap relief and Knox or Obi.

Does Houston have any more picks the next 5 years or just ones that belong to the Nets?

The Knicks shouldn’t be in trading to get more picks, the practically have 3 this year, they will be looking to package picks either to move up or for a player..people need to realize the Knicks aren’t going to have a roster with 3 rookies and 2 2nd year players..
