Course we can always look at the Fultz thing really took automatic real ring contenders for a decade out of our equation.

Least we didn't waste as many resources as the Celtics, but it can still give heartburn.

We would have been much better against the Celtics because we'd have Bridges and Covington swarming dudes defensively and drilling assisted threes.

Ultimately, drafting Bridges at #10 would have still been a bad value pick because he had no shotcreation upside. Shai was one of the very best prospects in the class and it was beyond obvious that he should have been the pick. Shai would have literally rendered the Fultz whiff irrelevant and been a franchise-saving selection.

Of course Shai should've been the pick, I only thought about Bridges cause they mentioned our trade during the game. Heck, if we had drafted Shai, we might not have even drafted Fultz at all (thats what really burns me).

After all that planning and so forth, to end up with nothing in those drafts will haunt me, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Many “shoulda coulda woulda” but trading Bridges is not one of them.

It would be fair to not expect to get everything in life. We got lucky on Jojo. Imagine ending up with Wiggins. Even if you play everything perfectly in your next moves, it wont make up for it. Something has got to give.

For me the biggest blow was the Fultz injury. It’s a black swan event. Until now, nobody knows what really happened to him. For me a healthy Fultz was the perfect guy to compliment Biid and Ben.

We really had the dark side of variance. I mean.. come on. We already lose the trade and then Zhaire almost died from eating peanuts. Lol wtf.. i remember how the team was bragging about how we had a world class kitchen in our training facility. LOL

Then the second one was Fertita punking us with the Harden trade.

“If Sixers puts Ben on the table for the Harden deal, it’s done deal”

They preferred CLEAR health risks like LeVert or Dipo over Ben. And who would have thought that the Nets would have doubled down or maybe even tripled down on offense by overpaying for Harden.

No matter you get lucky or unlucky, what matter is how you can max out the cards dealt to you.

After the Fultz injury we either had the most talented roster of the process era in 2018-2019), projected by sports media to make it to the finals (2019-2020) or is the top team in the east (this year).

As long as we have a mindset of winning a championship, by any means necessary (including trading Ben or Embiid, IF NECESSARY. No favorites) then we have a shot.

Personally, I’d just be focused on trying to max out the talent of our squad this playoffs. Then let’s explore all options in the offseason.

Agreed. All throughout the Process years, I thought the mindset of the team and fanbase was ‘just get us to a point where we’re sustainably competing for a championship’. Well, we’re there. We may not be the favorites, but we’re in the conversation, and given natural variance, the favorite is not going to win every year. I’d rather take additional shots on goal rather than make desperate win-now moves, but I’m also not opposed to moving anyone on the roster for the right deal.

It's nice to see the Nets look human, even if its for a quarter.

Brandon Ingram in 2016
De'Aaron Fox in 2017
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in 2018
trade up for Nickell Alexander-Walker in 2019
Tyrese Maxey in 2020

We would literally sweep the Western Conference Allstars in a series.

Are you familiar with Philip K Dick and the concept of precrime?

He averages 40 against Hawks so far and we are 1-1. Do you expect him to average 60 against Nets or what?
