Having a non shooting point guard, an inconsistent 2 in Bullock, and a 5 that doesn’t shoot outside the paint does hurt a team. If we had C.A.T, Ball, and Norman Powell or Fournier than we can spread the floor more evenly with more consistent shooter to help relieve pressure.
We desperately need a starting PG who won't kill our offense, but I won't be disappointed if Mitch & Bullock are starting again next season and we wait until next summer to make our big move for another shot-creator...with a Mitch upgrade coming once we've addressed the fist two, if we still have the ammo & can get one.
Bullock was our best perimeter defender all season & a big part of that defense, who was often helping organize our younger defenders through the campaign; while Robinson was someone we sorely missed. Even though we didn't run anything for him, having that center who can catch a pass/rebound & reliably give us some garbage points, was an outlet that really helped us keep things rolling in the earlier parts of the season...not to mention the upgrade to our PNR defense & rebounding as opposed to Nerlens.
In a perfect world, we would replace Mitch with AD, Bullock with Harden, and Elfrid with Jrue...as well as turning RJ into Kawhi & Julius into Zion or Luka...but addressing the Elf-upgrade is more important than either of the first two, and the second is more important than the first. So let's deal with those upgrades by order of importance unless we're getting a real superstar that can win a ring as your #1 option.
