Post#1 » by sanima233 » Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:16 am

Is it just me or has PJ Tucker been amazing defending Durant ?

what a steal for a late first / early 2nd swap.

It’s a good thing he can play defense cause he basically did nothing else

I mean he plays the 3/D/rebounding role pretty well. Not everyone can be a star, someone has to do the dirty work. His effort cannot be ignore.

He was a Raptor for enough time you should know the PJ Tucker experience. Defend his ever loving ass off and stand in the corner and make a three or two. Rinse/repeat for 82+playoffs.

His effectiveness depends entirely on how much the refs decide to let him get away with things.

one of my favorites. People calling him a scrub are scrubs. I'd love him on the Lakers. Dude played Center for like half a season for **** sake.

Durant still gave him 30.

He was mugging KD and getting away with it.

PJ used to be one of the best defenders on AD and Blake Griffin when he was in Phoenix. He won't stop Durant but at least makes it tougher for him.

He has experience with durant considering the rockets vs warriors.
Best guy to bother him and strip him.

He moves his feet amazingly well for a guy with his body type at that age.

PJ Tucker - 6'6 with 6'10 wingspan. Thick as a rock, strong as an ox, relatively quick feet for his size, and most importantly with a strong will. The guy plays his 48th minute the same way as he does in 1st. He is as tough as you can get and someone who can use his energy to influence others on the court. (opposite example: Kenneth Faried, tons of energy, zero influence)

What he brings to the table is really hard to measure with any stats but your own eyes.

Pay attention to his footwork here:

Love me some PJ. Typical team roll player who has a bigger impact on Wins than his stats might suggest. In your face defender, can spread the floor and plays within his means. Great locker room guy. The perfect guy to put on Durant.

overrated when he was on houston, basically useless now. this guy is averaging 3 points and 2.5 rebounds in this series. durant is averaging 30/8. not sure how that is doing an 'amazing' job.

He’s ok. Didn’t stop anyone emphatically when he was back on the raps. Needs to be in the right situation I think.
