Mock Draft

I have been looking at mock drafts for pretty much all sports over the last 20 years. This years has Cade at #1 in almost all drafts with Green,Mobley/Suggs interchangeable in the 2-4 spots. What I can never remember in all the mocks Ive seen is a player locked in a a certain spot in almost every draft (not in the top 3). This draft being Jonathan Kuminga at the #5. Not a single mock has him in the top 4 or below five. Sort of weird to me.

That is weird. Of course, things will change when we get closer to the actual draft.

I said something similar that a concensus top 5 is very unusual

At one point this draft was considered to have 5 guys who could of been one picks in last years draft. Kuminga first 3-4 Gleague games he looked like he could be even the 1 pick but then his last 10 games he looked bad. While Kuminga looked bad the other four all rised their stock playing well hence why hes not in that top four but is getting put as a consensus 5. Kuminga did show enough that with how young he is teams will be very excited about what he could become.

Kumingas really young he reclassified to play this season. This kid was considered the number 1 prospect in this coming years recruiting class over Chet Holmgren. His ceiling is huge. When picking 5 you're looking at guys like Scottie Barnes,Davion Mitchell, Bouknight, K.Johnson etc. A team is very likely to gamble on what would of been the 1 prospect in this coming class over any of these guys so it makes since you see him at 5. That said sure he might not be 5 but hes very likely going to be pick 5.
