I think Lue's plan is to use Mann's energy in front of the home crowd. Maybe saving him some for Conley's return.

Mitchell did something earlier in the game, but is looked like he re-aggravated his injury when he ran into PG.

May not keep him out of the series, but could impact his driving.

If we can’t beat them with no Conley and Mitch/Bojan turning their ankles it’s going to be a rough series

Mann is young, doesn't need to be saved for anything

What I hate is, Donovan and Luka are in screen roll to another screen roll to another screen roll. Carlisle knew to not try and beat us with Hardaway but we were gonna do that tonight with Reggie.

We screen Bogdanovic ONCE! He fights over it and we just tell Kawhi to do the rest. Nah. Screen that **** 2,3 times.

The other teams put much more of a premium on getting their stars open looks and getting down hill.

The Jazz had the third-highest three point shooting percentage this season, on the highest volume of any team in the league, and unlike our team of choke artists, they can actually make their threes in the playoffs. I don't see any reason to believe that they'll magically cool down. Don't expect this to be a repeat of the Mavs, who actually were overperforming from three by a wide margin in their first two games.

We've seen this movie before. But will it end the same way?

Morris is really making it tough for the team. Dude can't have these multiple game 3PT shooting droughts. His shooting alone changes both games, this is similar to what happened vs Dallas. .

He has just not proven reliable, quite surprising. Proven he can shoot at home and get very hot, but 1/14 in the two games is a hard pill.

Has he even been impactful on defense? Not good at determining good defense yet unless it's super obvious

Probably the same reason Rondo isn't in the rotation. Can't attack the paint the way he usually does against the Jazz and need to have capable shooters in the game. Granted we need said capable shooters to hit their shots but, it's been a ton of drive and kicks so far this series and the Clippers are still generating great looks. Guys just aren't hitting them

How can anyone still defend Lue? This is Doc-level decision making. Mann's reward for being useful down the stretch of last series is getting arbitrarily removed from the rotation so Lue can play washed-up Beverley instead. This is NOT how you develop young players and help them gain confidence. :noway:

At the moment he can probably shoot better than Morris as well.

And just like that we're not a deep team anymore? No Rondo and no Mann tonight. No plays ran for Kennard. Where's the reinforcements at?

I dont think Lue had a good coaching so far but This is 100% wrong. You develop young talent in the regular season, playoffs are about matchups. I think Bev did a really good job with taking Mitchell out of his flow and completely solidified why he's suppose to be on the court today. This was his first meaningful rotation duty since Dallas game 2 and I believe his shots will come soon. This game wasn't lost because of Beverley over Mann decision. Look for other areas.

We saw Mann in Game 1 against this Jazz team, he had once nice take to the basket but wasn’t really being guarded just like Rondo. This Jazz team is smarter than the Mavs, they’ll take advantage of any non-shooter on the court to maximize Gobert’s impact on the game.

Aside from missing wide open 3s, there were several key plays that made a difference in this game. First, Clarkson making a bank shot 3, Ingles making a layup off the top of the backboard, and Mitchell getting away with a blatant travel in the 4th quarter.
