The two I heard that were interesting and kind of work for both teams were:

Oubre to Heat for Herro and Iguodala (Heat are supposedly really tired of Herro's lack of effort and there were some rumors of some bad social/health habits)

Oubre to Celtics for Smart and Thompson, Celtics get younger Warriors get marginally useful size (rebounding and screens) and a past his prime Smart who has never been much of a playmaker or shooter with 2 years left on his deal.

The reality is that the Warriors won't S&T Oubre without bringing back assets that ACTUALLY work for the team, otherwise they will just let him walk. I don't see any trades where they get much back in the form of draft picks.

It's a good thing he doesn't need to do anything where he needs to raise his hands over his head for his work.

Recovery to fully healthy in NBA bigs with torn shoulder labrums is a lot longer than 5 months. 5 months until he can get back with the team, but getting to the point where he dunks with it, or uses it to try to block shots or reach for a steal or put leverage on a driving player? That could be a lot longer.

Thank goodness for the end of stupid trade the bank ideas for overpaid Siakam from Toronto fans coming to this board.

I’ve seen mention of those 2 “rumors” elsewhere, but would be stunned if either of those packages is available for Oubre. For Miami, which has cap space, it means they literally are just trying to dump Herro’s salary (and Iguodala), which would be stunning. ANd for the Celtics, I’ve got to believe that a package of Smart and Thompson would net way more than just Oubre.

I don’t put much stock into either of those rumors.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

I agree, especially the Marcus Smart rumor, he alone is better than Oubre before adding in TT. No way Boston would offer that package.

Between this and Lowry potentially going to a contender, Toronto is going to tank HARD next season.

And they need to. Their next 2 picks would be much needed to retool their roster around Anunoby & Trent Jr (& Siakam, VanVleet and perhaps Boucher as well).

Miami wouldn't include Herro in a deal for Harden. Do we really think they've soured so much on him that they'd trade him for Oubre ?

Surely not

It's not likely, I think it's mostly based on supposedly Butler in particular, coaches, and the front office are close to giving up on him.

Not my money. If the joint sells out and they go deep in the playoffs it will make money.
