Jokic Has Been EXPOSED - Bail While You Can

He's being swept by a team devoid of any real talent, and being manhandled by a rotation level big. Cp3 is old and short with an injured shoulder. Booker is skinny, young, has no real experience and can't do anything besides score. PHX only has one matchup for Jokic, and that's the big body of Ayton - and he's being shut down by a rotation level center. Denver clearly has the overwhelming level talent avantage, even without Murray and Jokic is the MVP, but looks like the 4th or 5th best player on the floor this series. He's incapable of scoring anyone that matches his size.

This follows the trend of regular season MVP's being exposed in recent playoffs - Rose, Curry, Westbrook, Giannis and now Jokic. The award is losing it's value with these performances. Most of the MVP's these past 10 years have been exposed come playoff time.

If anything I'm buying Jokic stock. Not having Jamal Murray to high power the offense might make him come in even better shape next season. Not saying he will win MVP next season but he will be better next post season.

Clearly an injury plagued unit vs one of the healthiest teams around who have been fantastic from the start of the season. Joker would be the Suns best player by a margin as well. However you could argue even a healthy Denver isn’t enough but we will never know as next season will be a new season(new growth and new regression for the entire league).
A sweep never looks good on a MVP but that’s what lazy basketball analyst do. We live in context here.

Not only did he score 32 points last night, he added 20 boards and 10 assists. He’s averaging 26ppg 14rpg and 6apg through 3 games. Ya he’s totally being “exposed” :crazy:

Gordon had 4 points and 4 boards in 36 minutes while shooting 20%. Rivers had 5 points in 27 minutes. Porter chipped in 15 shooting sub 40%.

Jokic exposed!

Jokic just had a 32/20/10 trip dub. Porter is a horrible defender and has back problems. Rivers is a journeyman. Gordon is a solid athlete but unskilled.

Meanwhile, the Suns have a plethora of good defenders, a great scorer and a fantastic floor general. Talent level tips decidedly in the Suns favor.

To the naive, this looks like "MVPs getting ExPOsEd!!!"

In reality this is just basic probability....

Teams win championships...and only 1 out of 30 teams wins per season.

The odds that an MVP wins the championship are actually quite low. Always has been, always will be.
