He's a Spurs player.
He does not win things.

Granted, he wasn't a major player at Bayern and was part of their youth setup, but he's won 6 major trophies including the Champions League. That means he's won more major European honours than Arsenal in their entire history.

I think we can probably forgive the crap penalty and Schmeichel's error, given the circumstances.

Indeed. The fact they even played the rest of the game is admiring.
I couldn't do it when it happened.

Watched the Belgium game. By far the better team. Castagne, who had been playing well, had a nasty facial injury. Hope it's nothing and he's back feeling fine already. Lukaka was so Vardy-like. Awesome. I was impressed with boyata too. Is he rated in Germany? He'd look good in the prem.

Tough night yesterday. Still can't believe what happened. Gladly Eriksen is recovering well.

As for the result, big disappointment. Game should've been postponed for another date, but that should not take anything away from Finland. They won the game at the end of the day. Denmark have a long way to go now. I don't see us beating Belgium, can we take a point and beat Russia we should be through as one of the 4 best 3's at least.

But for now i'm just hoping that Eriksen continues to recover - and then i hope we can pull the upset against Belgium on thursday.

Can't see you beating or drawing with Belgium but you could get 3 points from Russia. That could be enough but really it shouldn't be. Seems crazy that 3rd placed teams in a group of 4 can qualify for the knockouts.

Sancho not even on the bench?
What is Southgate thinking...

So how much money is Coca Cola paying English FA to make sure their players drink Powerade?

Better decision than not starting (or playing) Grealish.

England were actually decent and deserved a win. Players did okay Rice was anonymous and Kane was a cart horse but otherwise we were okay.

Our players worked hard but as usual we didn't seem to have much of a shape or gameplan. Most of the second half was just lumping it up, that's one way to bypass the Croatia midfield I guess.

Good win nonetheless.

I would add that Hojbjerg should be nowhere near penalties. It's not his game. Southampton and Spurs fans have seen how appallingly bad he can be in the final third.

If it wasnt for the temperatures some players might not have sweat…thats how slow the pace of the game was haha

England was the better team, though. Deserved win.

One of the worst goals I've seen at a major tournament. First the unlucky deflection off the defender, then somehow the keeper spilled it. Unbelievable. Old man Pandev, too.

It doesn‘t come as a surprise…with the increased number of teams these group stage games were bound to have a lower quality in some groups.

No idea why Austrian coach decides to waste Alaba as CB. He is their best player and can play multiple positions…why waste him at the back? Especially considering they are playing north macedonia of all teams.

This game is a perfect example of everything that is wrong in the Bundesliga.

Austria just passing or trying a high ball into the penalty area in the final third. They look like an athletics training group.
Nobody who will go into the dribbling in the final third and create something out of nothing.

Even North Macedonia seems more advanced than Austria in 1 vs. 1 dribblings.
