It takes time and you gotta take your lumps sometimes before you can make it. That some numbnuts around here genuinely think trading Giannis is a good idea is beyond dopey. It takes time for some of the greats to break through. Have just a little faith.
He's got flaws at the moment, but most players do. I still remember the **** Dirk used to cop, especially after 2007, and it's all just so stupid.
Settle down blog boys and enjoy Giannis while we have him, warts and all. It sure as hell beats watching the Electric Swag Twins or burning seasons for high draft picks.
Let's be real, none of the guys you mentioned ever struggled with decision making like Giannis does. Curry/Dirk/KD were bothered by super physical defense and adapted to that. Jordan and Lebron just went from having scrub teammates to legit ones. But generally they made good decisions. Giannis literally looks completely baffled making basic reads. Like he can't reliably pass out of double teams let alone even anticipate them
Also, look at the actual basketball skill level of the guys you mentioned and compare to Giannis. It's not even on the same planet. It's just not a legit comparison since none of those dudes were failing specifically because they were continually trying to do things they had no ability to do. It's not like Dirk was trying to be a PnR ball handler and then realized oh I gotta get into the mid post and stick to my strengths. Or that MJ was just jacking 10 3s per game until a coach told him to drive to the basket. Or that Curry was posting up 15 times a game until he realized he's the GOAT shooter. That's where we are at with Giannis. Like if Giannis made Monta Ellis level decisions we already have a title, maybe 2, and are en route to potentially number 3.
