Oh, i love matching up with the Jazz. Biid pulls away Gobert, Ben slowing down Mitchell while Tobi doing work down low.
Not going to happen. No team can defeat nets. They have too much offensive power. Ben can defend either Kyrie or KD.
Im not saying its for certain nor am i saying it will be easy. But Sixers has a match-up advantage against the Nets compared to the Bucks. Whereas I find Bucks is exactly built to beat our team.
We have guard defenders. We have Ben who can defend KD, well atleast for single coverage. While we have Embiid and D12 who can take advantage of their weak interior defense.
Nets also have an overall weak defensive team that may allow guys like Tobi or Seth to continue scoring at their current level.
Im not going to repeat what ive said about my sentiment about how I find Bucks to be a bad match-up for us. Im also not saying we wont be able to beat them but I just think its going to be more difficult for us to beat them because of match-up issues. But who knows.. Embiid is playing like a man possessed.
I think the Bucks would have better odds against us than the Nets, but that's just because the Nets are better than us. In terms of matching up, Jrue is as good of an option to go up against Kyrie as there is in the league, and Tucker/Giannis/Middleton are all reasonably good options to throw at KD (that dude's getting buckets no matter who you put him on).
Seems like their biggest issue against the Nets is that they're just not that good of a half court offensive team. Giannis game just looks ugly at times when he's trying to isolate. Jrue is underwhelming as a primary scorer and a guy who you will live with taking pull ups out of the pick and roll. Middleton is clearly the best option, and he just isn't great consistently enough to be able to go shot for shot with KD.
I'd say we easily matchup better with them, as we can keep Embiid in the paint with the Giannis matchup, and Simmons could give Middleton a ton of trouble. You could put Simmons on KD, but he's playing at a level where it almost doesn't matter, similar to how Kawhi was in that Raptors series. Guarding Embiid is an issue for every team in the league, and we don't have to worry about Nurse or Stevens scheming against him.
