Don't really see what adjustments the coaches can make. We've defended well in these 2 losses. We just can't score. I don't see how that changes when our PGs are Mike James and Tyler Johnson. Maybe it's time to bring DJ in since he's a lob threat.

If you cant find ways to score with kevin durant surrounded by 4 shooters you should quit your job and find another sport.

how about make ANY adjustment. lets start there

Mike D'Antoni - best offensive coach of all time - is running the offense. We made adjustments. None of them worked because:

1. Milwaukee was mugging KD all over the floor. Post ups, stagger screens, PNRs, whatever. They were fouling him every time down. Refs didn't call anything until we were down 20. That threw our only scorer and playmaker completely out of rhythm. We put him in different spots. We even used him as the screener for PNRs.

2. Our shooters weren't hitting shots.

I would argue that we should've played Shamet + Claxton more but whatever. If you would've told me that by G4 the Bucks wouldn't score more than 107 for the series, I would've signed up for that in a heartbeat. Offense hasn't been a problem all year.

LOL exactly.

KD and 4 shooters who COULDNT make any shots!

Even Bill Simmons on his pod was talking about KD getting no calls the entire game.

watched the game delayed. I am sickened. Their mvp just likely ended the season for our second best available player. On an open layup where giannis had no fking business stepping under him. I fking curse the mf. **** him. Hope he never wins anything. I'm livid.

And **** these refs trying to boost ratings for the season by letting this f***ing playoff pretender hang with us by getting maul our players on defense.

And I couldn't give a s*** whether he picked him up and body slammed him on his ankle or whether it was a whoopsie daisy. I've been watching this team for over 20 years and there have been exactly 0 other seasons where we were considered title favorites. At least if Giannis had pulled out a magnum and shot Kai in the ankle there'd be some fking repurcussions.

I can't get over how this happened because some dipsh** wanted to grab the ball to inbound it and there go our championship hopes.

I gotta vent... or drink. this sucks.

Dear Milwaukee. Let us end Middleton's season and we're square.

kyrie injury is tough pill to swallow. we need kyrie or harden to play with durant, its going to be difficult if neither can suit up. good thing we're at home next game, im taking this day by day

We would destroy this team with Kyrie and Harden. 5 games max.

no chance. not with nash coaching.

The problem is that D'Antoni will likely leave after this season and Nash will be even more exposed. It was that Harden-D'Antoni system that gave the Nets most success this season. But hey, KD wanted Nash so... now he has to rely on him.

The one rule that overrides the boxing out part is that a player must always allow a shooter to land. This time it happened to be in close by the basket instead of by 3 pt line, but its still a foul and these r called flagrants in todays league. Its a reckless play.

Its a play that you could say falls under a “grey” area where Giannis was trying to box out while simultaneously “forgetting” that Kyrie had to be treated like a “shooter” and not someone he’s fighting for a rebound. Next time someone who is fan favorite gets injured the exact same way on a close range shot I better not hear complaints that it was just a “basketball play” as though its ok to forget to give a shooter space to land.

I also get those saying guys box out like that all the time down low but if you subscribe to that theory, then Kyrie was simply very unfortunate. Perhaps Im not unbiased enough of this incident to give a fully objective take.

The way KD was being defended or how guys were getting hammered with no calls was going to lead to this result. Just because you're fine with it doesn't mean everyone else has to be. Give me a break

I believe you are misconstruing “laying the lumber” with “intentionally injuring” someone.

I loved the hard but legal screen set by Joe. I hope Tucker felt that. The Bucks are being allowed to foul and generally play as physical as they want which you could argue allowed Giannis to be as reckless as he was when he undercut Kyrie.

Its only right good hard physical play is returned in kind. And if someone gets injured thats too bad. Isnt that what everyone is saying now against the Nets? Its fair game.

And if by chance the Bucks pick up some knocks in the process I wont shed a tear either. At least no one on the Nets is being given leeway to commit a foul on every play like Tucker is.

Thank you, WTF is he on? Our guys were getting hammered and it resulted in a possible season ender for Kyrie.

The way Tucker was hitting KD on every jump shot I was surprised that he wasn't the first one to go down.

IDGAF man if a team is playing dirty you have to respond with that same energy. You think they care that they injured Kyrie?

**** outta here.

My comment is obviously sarcasm. Joe couldn't hit a damn bucket all weekend but he manages to scratch a bucks player hence sarcastic "best shot he made"...

MDB does not want injury involved, he spoke from emotional outrage and its understandable. I can't speak for him but I know/feel he would say the same thing. Theres no real threat wish from anyone in heated mode. Maybe I'm wrong for his comments but I'll let him clear that up.

The message I want to project is we need to start bullying back, we are soft and don't stand up after someone pushes us down. It's a reflection on coach to our players. It's no crime in pushing back and playing physical.

Had the Nets went on there and undercut one of their players that resulted in injury, I'd say good. Not after what I saw yesterday. When Joe busted dudes eye open, it was warranted.

The Bucks couldn't beat us playing straight up basketball so they had to resort to playing dirty. I would not be saying this if this was legit basketball play and they just beat us. Even Nash was saying the way Tucker was defending Durant was not basketball. Durant ended up on the floor on multiple jumpshots, any of those plays could have resulted in injury. Giannis "boxes out" Kyrie in mid air after he shoots it? That was dirty as it gets. He should have been undercut the next time down the floor if he dared to come in the paint.

You can't turn the other cheek when someone is punching you in the face. Sportsmanship and player safety went out the window yesterday.

If Blake Griffin did what Giannis did to Kyrie to one of your guys, you would be livid. You can't box a man out in mid air like that and undercut him.

If one of your players get taken out due to something similar, your team has it coming. That was a dirty play and you know it.

This is nonsense.

Giannis play on Kyrie wasnt dirty. you want to say its a flagrant the way the league is so strict on policing players getting under a players feet? sure. Giannis is coming in, eyes on the room, clearly looking to get into position for a rebound. the dude is super long. he didnt like purposefully slide under him. at WORST, it is an irresponsible play by Giannis, even thats a stretch.

Also, the idea we should be "hammering" guys is just silly. We arent some big physical team. no need to show frustration and get outside of what we need to do to still have a prayer of a chance.

It is pretty simple. Nash needs to open his mouth every

Boxing out a man in mid air as he is coming down from a shot attempt is dirty as it gets, what are you talking about?

You want Nash to start throwing chairs and getting kicked out? Fine. But don't sit here and act like what took place yesterday was clean basketball. I haven't seen garbage like that in nearly 25 years. At some point you need to fight back since the refs let the game get out of control

The giving a player space to lane applies outside of the box. Kyrie was inside the box.

If they called that a foul Giannis would get it every time he goes up for a dunk.

Sucks for Kyrie, but **** happens

hard to make shots when you are standing watching you point guard take 10 seconds to try and dump it to KD on the baseline post over the outstretched arms of a defender, then get swamred and half to throw it cross court.

I mean, we probably need 105-115 points to win game 5.

If Durant scored 45, that means you need 70 from everyone else.

I dont know if we would get 70 from:

Harris (20)
Blake (15)
Green (10)
Brown (15)
Shamet (10)

I just dont see where the points come from, even if durant has an enormous game. we basically have to get 40+ from durant AND hold them under 100 points AND our shooters need to be on.

Honestly, i think D;Antoni is part of the issue. too stubborn. no adjustments. And really his blueprint is something anyone can follow now. tons of credit for him changing the game and how teams play, but he really doesnt have much in game coaching skills, more a philosiphy.

I think you can probably get more out of our offense with someone else.
