Re: GT: Nets @ Bucks Game 4 - 06/13/21 3pm EST
Dirty implies intent. Giannis may not have intended to hurt Irving, but intent or not, it was reckless and should have been a flagrant 2. We've seen flagrants for far less reckless plays. The fact that Giannis was on Kyrie's left, but Kyrie's right foot is what landed on Gianni's foot is proof of how blatantly reckless it was. It's understandable when a defender challenges a shot and inadvertently lands in a shooter's landing space. When the defender doesn't leave his feet, but still encroaches so blatantly on a shooter's space, it is inexcusable.

thonnisbeastley wrote:Lol you guys are pathetic. There was nothing dirty about Giannis' play. He has extremely long/lanky legs and he moved into position for a rebound. Had he gotten there half a second later Kyrie would've landed fine. He's looking at the ball the entire time. There's absolutely zero intent to injure. Definitely not a flagrant. Just an unfortunate incident. Also...Giannis is a foot inside the circle. Do you want the NBA to change the rules so that no one is allowed to move/position for a rebound until the player attacking the basket has landed? What a fun league that would be. Guess you have to assign flagrants to all the moving blocks Giannis got called for a charge on as well, since they are intentionally moving into his space with the intent of knocking him down.
For those that want to objectively give Giannis a retroactive flagrant 1, remind yourselves that you then need to give Joe Harris a retroactive flagrant 2 and suspend him from game 5 for his foul on Pat Connaughton.
KD, Harden, and Kyrie played what? 8 games together during the regular season? If you thought they'd magically all remain healthy throughout the playoffs you were kidding yourselves. Team is fragile. PJ living rent free in Durant's head right now.
You might be a bit biased by your team affiliation, problem with the game was the refs were allowing Durant to get mauled and not calling fouls yet when our Giannis defender attempted similar contact we got called a foul. The reckless play became evident with Kyrie getting injured. His move under an airborn shooting player is very suspect. Enjoy your wins, they are your last.

Yeah, NBA officiating is ****. In games 1/2 Durant drew fouls with no body touching him in Brooklyn. In games 3/4 Giannis drew fouls with no body touching him in Milwaukee. It is what it is. Kyrie was in the circle and jumped backwards/sideways further into the circle. He happened to land on Giannis' foot, who moved in for a rebound. It was unfortunate. Not dirty, maybe a little reckless. The refs let them play far more physical in game 4 than they did in the previous 3 games. Blake pushed Giannis in the back on the same play that Joe Harris threw an elbow at Pat C that should've been a flagrant 2 upon review and the refs didn't call anything. Or review a shot to the head which is supposed to be an automatic review. Went both ways. Just unfortunate that Kyrie got hurt.

Definitely not a flagrant 2. What is your opinion on Joe Harris giving up on a play to elbow Pat C in the face? Flagrant 2 as well right?

Tough call. I think Kyrie is out for the series no matter what.
I'd rather 80% in game 6 then 70% in game 5. we need him for 2 games... if waiting until game 6 makes it more likely he plays 2, then hold out. im not worried about home court if harden can play
this is all ifs and buts right now.

Kyrie has been healthy. his missed time was not injury related. Harden has been an NBA ironman. KD was the guy to worry about. We needed any 2 of them to win this series, so even if 1 got hurt, no biggie. but 2 makes it near impossible.
I mean, like it was crickets from you until we lost 2 of our best players, and now you want to come here and troll us? Are some guys out of line? sure... but we just saw as close as you can get to a lock for a title go up in flames.

Who cares what you think?
Youre in control of your own **** legs. Its your fault to make sure you let other players land.
When has Harden ever been hurt in his career idiot? Also didn't Giannis and Holiday both get hurt this year? And didn't Giannis literally get injured in last years playoffs?
Yet your acting like the Bucks are some model of health.
PJ Tucker is just a punk who fouls every play. KD will punish him next game. You guys are **** on the road and you know it.
Go back to your own board where you belong. We were beating you by 50 points until Kyrie got hurt. You had no shot in this series. Had to send in your **** goon to beat us.

The problem is these things are impossible to predict.
How likely is it that those 2 days off would matter? I don't know the answer. Only Harden does.

yeah... its a tough situation.
im not optomistic we see kyrie or harden again. and i just dont think we can win with just KD. Maybe if we had dinwiddie. but we have 1 guy who can score on his own on this team

I think the Bucks won game 3 with Kyrie and were leading in game 4 before the injury. No goon was sent in to beat you. Why isn't that body guard who rushed the court and shoved PJ Tucker suspended/banned for the remainder of the playoffs? Nice goon you got there.

Harden has been hurt for half of the year. You have been posting on the Bucks forum since game 1. Was I wrong about the Giannis/Kyrie play? From your posts on the Bucks forum, seems you agree. How do you feel about the Joe Harris flagrant 2 non-call? Don't be defensive here while agreeing with most Bucks fans about everything that's happened throughout the series on the other board. Take a hike dude.

1) I've said multiple times in this thread it wasnt dirty or intentional by Giannis.
2) They could have called a flagrant on joe by the rule. but also clearly not dirty or intentional.
My issue is you coming here trolling Nets fans who are posting out of emotion less then 24 hours after our championship hopes went down the tube with our second star going out with an injury. like you just being a dick. Go do that trash on the general board.

he was terminated as an employee of the nets and now servers only as an employee to durant. he needs a ticket to attend games and is barred the rest of the playoffs. this was confirmed on carton & roberts on WFAN.

You got lucky to win Game 3 because Bruce Brown took some stupid shots.
And a 4 point lead at home is nothing to brag about
Nobody believes you would have held it with Kyrie in the lineup. And even if you somehow did no way were you winning Game 5 in Brooklyn after the pitiful displays you put on there in the first two games.
I don't remember PJ Tucker getting injured.
Giannis did the same **** to Porzingis. He is the new Zaza Pachulia.
Congrats on your asterisk series win. Nobody believes you beat us at full health including you.

This may not be a popular opinion, but if I were Harden, I'd try everything I can to return in G5. G6 is in Milwaukee, and we've seen how Refs have treated us in Milwaukee. If we don't win G5, there may not be a G7.
Just my opinion of course. I don't blame anybody if he's not cleared to play. Just sh*t luck I guess.

A flagrant doesn’t have to be intentional or dirty. A flagrant 1 is a reckless play. Sliding under a player when they’re in the air and coming down after a shot is a reckless play.
Harris on Connaughton was on a box out, there was intentional or reckless about it, it should have just been a foul on Harris. That’s different.
For real, Bucks fans getting real chirpy after they went into hiding after getting smacked by a Harden-less Nets team, and only talking now after they finally beat us after Kyrie also goes down with injury. It’s kinda pathetic.

Yeah, in the BOS series, KD got a flagrant when he actually tried to avoid the undercut.
