Any particular reason?

I mean he took over a pretty young Bucks team, got them on the right track and Giannis credits him for his development?

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2755824-giannis-antetokounmpo-says-jason-kidd-firing-made-him-feel-uncomfortable
Antetokounmpo credited Kidd for being instrumental in his development.

"He was a big part of my success," Antetokounmpo said. "He trusted me, he put the ball in my hands, he motivated me on a daily basis, he pushed me to be great and not to be mediocre.

"I was 19 when he came and he said he was going to put the ball in my hands. The first time I wasn't ready. I told him, 'Coach, I'm not ready to create and make plays for the team.' He said, 'OK, we're going to take our time.' The next year, he put the ball in my hands and I was ready.

"But coming from a guy like Jason Kidd is big. He's going to end up—whatever, if he got fired or not—he's going to end up in the Hall of Fame. Having Jason Kidd as our coach was big."

Also, i could see Kidd having a very positive influence on Cole, RJ and Fultz

When cliff stepped down, Kidd was the first guy i envisioned us hiring (because of the WeHam connection), and with him being the first name mentioned, it wouldnt surprise me if hes the guy

Because he's an objectively bad coach. His gimmicky defensive scheme worked out well the first couple years with the Bucks then the league caught on and he never adapted. He's not any better on the other side of the ball.

No idea what he's like developmentally. I mean if the goal is to win Kidd would be a terrible decision. If the goal is to lose a lot and continue to accumulate lottery talent then yeah, sign me up for Kidd.

There's just nothing particular exciting about him, has a bit of a bad reputation amongst most fans, is just an average coach. I feel like he's on a Luke Walton level of coaching where I'm sure some people like playing under him, but he does nothing for me personally. Also not a very great person. I think there are other way better candidates.

Okay, let’s put aside the KNOWN issues Kidd had with leadership in Brooklyn and the rumored issues he had with leadership (John Hammond) in Milwaukee.

Let’s just talk about Jason Kidd the coach.

What has you guys excited about him other than “hE wAs a StAr Pg!” Yippee! That does not make you a good coach. Also, I don’t care that a young player says nice things when someone shoves a mic in their face.

Talk to me about his play calling, his rotations, his adjustments … what did you see about his actual ability to coach the game of basketball?

God, Kidd would be such a train wreck

Uh huh. Do you remember how that relationship went last time?
Must not have been too bad, he got an interview.

If Kidd and Hamm really had a sour relationship, why would Hamm even interview JKidd? To rub it in his face?

Also.. is here something going on between Okeke and Kidd? Chuma seems to "not like" the fact that we are even talking to Kidd?

The tweet says we requested permission to interview him also. I wasn't a fan of hiring Kidd, but the way he discarded Portland and immediately schedules an interview with us, I kind of like that.

I didn't see that. He's probably hoping Ty Corbin gets the job. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't really know who Kidd is.

That's like Anthony Edwards not knowing what a ARod was.

Unless the BigChum account has a blue check mark, it's probably not him.

Hmmm, this might be an amateur way but it's all I know. Scroll down until you see "BigChum" saying something like : Im gonna pretend I didn't see this. In regards to quoting a report about us(MAgic) interviewing Kidd.

That's why we were discussing if this BigChum is really Okeke or not with the context that BR won't probably post something from a nobody/fake account?

Chuma doesn't go by BigChum on Twitter. The user @cb1115 is an old head around these parts. They used to post here from time to time back during our elite years but haven't seen them post here in quite some time. "Big Chum Energy" is just their Twitter nickname.

If we hire a head coach that was a former PG in the league, He/She is going to focus on our PG'S on our roster especially Fultz, Hampton and Cole. Jason Kidd as a example can try to train Fultz as much as possible, but our head coach can't keep players healthy, guys like Fultz have to figure out how to stay healthy.

If we hire Becky Hammon, I know she played in the WNBA and I think she was a PG.

The goal should be to hire a head coach that's a former PG that's going to get the most out of Fultz, Hampton and Cole and hope at least 1 of them turns into a superstar.
