Looks like Bones Hyland had his workout with the Knicks today via his IG story. Even tagged IQ in it

he got that real scoring talent

I do wonder what he is going to test in terms of his measurements. I'm curious to know what his wingspan will be. That could determine if he ends up more 6th man type or could potentially shift to a starting 2 guard. But he will have value regardless because he is a professional bucket getter.

We do have IQ though who's game is pretty similar to Cam so I'm not sure he is a fit with us. Chris Duarte could be an interesting prospect for us since he is an elite guy of the catch and movement shooter while someone like Cam Thomas does most of his damage off the bounce.

Duarte would be a nice replacement if we lose Bullock in FA.

I like Duarte and think he would be a really nice pickup for us. But he's opted out of the camp invite and rumors are he might have a promise.

oh for sure he's a 1st round. We would have to use 19 or 21 on him which I think is an acceptable range.

I've seen a lot of big boards that have in that early 20ish range.

Knicks gonna take dosunmu IMO just seems like the perfect fit for thibs.

Man...I’m hoping we trade up for Bouknight but I can see Thibs loving Davion Mitchell. Especially because he can play PG & has elite perimeter defense to put on someone like Trae Young.

If we do trade up, hopefully it’s more of a 19+32+ future picks &/or a player. That way we can still grab a scoring wing at 21. Ayo or Cam Thomas.

I hope so. I like him more than someone like Davion Mitchell offensively and playmaking wise. Dude can snake, has handle, height. I hope he don’t shoot up draft boards. ESPN recently updated their big board and he’s in the top 20. Think he’s mocked to us at 19 actually,

I know the rumor now is the Knicks want to trade up for more proven ready talent but I think we can get proven ready guys at both 19 & 21. Draft is that deep. Once the workouts happen and all that combine visits and stuff flow through, I think our picks will get more value because teams in the mid to late lottery will wanna move back for a chance at more guys. PLUS we got 32.
Own fans undervaluing the picks but we’re in great shape.

If we don’t trade up for a pure scorer like Bouknight, get me Ayo at 19 or 21 and then draft another scoring wing cause Ayo can run Point. Go into the summer in business. Not in panic mode because worst case with the PG position, we bring Rose back to start and Ayo be the backup.

A lot of the guys we are bringing in now seem to be mocked around where are second rounder will be. I appreciate the fact they are putting that time in now.

Don't mean to be disrespectful, but have you actually seen full games of Ayo, or just highlight tapes? Because to me, his handle is not a strength but a weakness. Yes, he does have a very nice crossover, but that doesn't equal to a good handle. That is also a reason why I'd bet a healthy amount of money against him being a full time PG. He'd look much better in a role where he can attack a bended D from the weak side. The thing is: This draft offers plenty of combo Gs like this: Tre, Bones, Butler may even count Bouknight as well just to name a few. And while Ayo's probably the best/most versatile defender, I feel like the offensive upside for all of the mentioned players is higher. I've said it before, value wise the best play is probably to get Bones with our early 2nd round pick - if he'll be available ofc. If that's not in play, then my call would be Tre. Because if you wanna talk about someone having a handle, it's him (and Butler ofc, not that I offend his fans in here  ).

Sure....with an elite mid range NBA pull up, snaking ability, leadership & more basketball talent in general that can actually run an offense.

Sure have. Kid is nice. His handles ain’t the best, sure but he passes the eye test to me & overall as a baller. He’s gonna get buckets. He’s gonna get his team involved. He knows how to snake around defenses, has an elite mid range pull up & he knows how to get to the rim.

Like you said, there’s a bunch of CGs and personally he’s one of my favorites over the others you listed.
All of those guys you listed outside of Bones & Bouknight are mid to me.
Butler & Mann just don’t do it for me. Cool prospects but I don’t like the fit here.
Tre man has no right hand when he drives but you talk about Ayo handles.

Ayo at 18 here. After workouts, won’t be surprised to hear late lottery rumors.

In my humble opinion, Ayo has a good handle. And yes, I’ve seen full games of his. At least in the games I saw, he was running the point like a true point guard and was able to get anywhere on the court. Bouknight is still my main target but I would be happy with Tre Mann, Ayo Dosunmo as backup options. I’ve started to see some mocks that have Bones going in the first round and I’m thinking maybe we should just take him with the 21st pick just to be safe. If he played in the tournament, his stock would’ve went up massively

Honestly wouldn’t be mad at Ayo at 19 & Bones at 21.
Shift RJ to the 3 and go after Lonzo, CP3 or bring Rose back.
Rose/Ayo
Bones/IQ

Fast and exciting
