Would you consider a Herro + Iggy for Malcolm Brogdon trade?

Brogdon is not really a star but he's damn good, and he's a very good fit here, can also play next to Lowry in a double PG lineup, he's big enough to guard SG and he's still only 28YO which is perfectly in-between Bam's and Jimmy's timelines.

He's the kind of player that you need if the plan is to have a strong starting 5 without a real superstar.

Lowry
Brogdon
Jimmy
Bam

Just add a capable PF/C.

Would do that in a nanosecond but is it even possible under the cap? We'd still have a hole at PF but that backcourt would be special on both ends of the floor

Very doable.

Can even make it a bigger trade :

Brogdon + M.Turner (39Mil$ Combined)

For

Iggy + Dragon + Herro + Precious (38Mil$ combined)

I think that's a pretty fair value for Indy, no?

We'd be left with :

Lowry (signed into cap)
Brogdon
Jimmy
Bam
Turner

Almost no bench, but still have the MLE to spend and a well balanced stating 5.

Not one, but two rookie contracts for Myles Turner and Malcolm freaking Brogdon? No thanks. He was looting in a riot in Indy all year, not a real ceiling raiser. I’d be open to trying to acquire Turner but not dealing Herro for Brogdon.

Love that for Miami but I just don't see Indiana having any interest in that chit sandwich. Herro + Achiuwa + filler could maybe land Brogdon or Turner but not both

Doubt it lands either one, let alone both.

Depends on the contract demand. He would certainly help our rebounding issues and allow BAM to move around defensively much easier. The real question is if you put the available dollars into contracts for Lowry or CP3. We desperatley need a veteran floor general that still has game. Dragon is in major decline. Nunn isnt a starting PG.

5 reasons predicts Spo will be on Portland's radar for a coach/front office position.

he's a very interesting player in that he can easily get a double double in 15-20 mins and barely make any positive impact on the game.

that was the impression I got when he was with the Pistons and virtually no change with the Lakers.

a prime example of raw talent didn't meet desire/work ethic/natural basketball abilities

I'm praying some desperate team out there crushes the buildings with an offer for Duncan that we refuse to match. Joe Harris performance on the road so far vs the Bucks is a prime example of why I don't want to a pay a one dimensional shooter big money.

We have no choice. Its interesting that the Bucks game plan was to stop Duncan at all cost. They made Butler look like Ben Simmons at the 3 point line. We have no choice but to match, the ideal thing would have been to go for Harden but that didnt happen.

Also remember the Raps are perfectly ok with letting Lowry walk, they wont do a sign and trade for trash. If a trade is made it will be on there terms. That means either we give them the player they want, or we renounce everyone but Duncan and Nunn. That means we have to match both offers and then we will have under 5 mil for a starting PF.

Not sure I'd give Duncan what he will command on the open market, and I don't even know what that number is, but something that should be noted: he suited up and started every game this season, you can count on one hand the players who did so across the league. There's a certain value in that, especially given the propensity of a lot of our guys to miss games here and there throughout the season

There’s also value in what that dude does for the team’s offense, who are you replacing that with?
