Man, ESPN only gave us one look at the replay and the TV crew both thought that was a clean tackle, but that looked like a pretty obvious penalty to me. I guess he got the slightest of touches on the ball, but also a whole lot of ankle. Am I off base?

Even as a massive French homer I lean on the side of the defender there, but I was pretty shocked it was not called a penalty. 8/10 times it is.

I have no rooting interest but that seemed extremely clear cut to me.

He went through the ball is the reason I prefer to side defender there, but from behind that's generally called a penalty.
