Re: OT: General OT Thread [NO POLITICS OR RELIGION]
I'd rank the spicy ones I've had like this
1. Popeyes: still king. It's so cheap and has been pretty consistently good.
2. Bk: the one and only time I've had it was last night. It was delicious and was very very close to knocking off popeyes.
3. Wendys: it's alright
4. Culvers: it is perfectly acceptable but kind of boring
5. Mcdonalds: yuck
I'm sure chick-fil-a is good and everyone seems to love it but the religious loonyism and their history with who they donate to makes me have no interest in giving them money.
Outside of fastfood...
For Madison people: Gates and Brovi has an incredible spicy chicken sandwich that has some good heat to it. It has coleslaw and sweet pickles on it though so it might not be for everyone.
Everly also has a really good chicken sandwich but it isn't spicy.

Question for everyone who are high on the new chicken sandwich at BK: How do you feel about their other food? Because I think it's by far the worst out of the major chains I've had, so I'm having a hard time believing this.

I went probably 2x weekly when they had their 2 for 5 whopper deal. It's nothing special but 2 whoppers and a spicy nugget for 6+tax is hard to beat when trying to make up for irresponsible spending elsewhere.
Inadequate perception I reckon it's from the Valium

I guess I gotta try Popeyes. Although I don't think there's a Popeyes within 20.miles of me.

I hated their nuggets when I had them a couple years ago (last time I went). Would you say the chicken sandwich is comparable?

BK is the dirtiest chain I've ever seen, absolutely refuse to eat anything that comes from those kitchens. Especially the ones on 68th Greenfield and s 76th.

I've only had their classic chicken sandwhich, whatever it's called, so can't say. I can't imaginge BK produces the best but I am still a fan of the whopper when the price is right. Best chicken sandwhich spot imo is Popeyes with Chic-fil-a coming in at #2.

As a kid the original BK chicken sandwich (the long oval one) was my jam. Used to like their fries too. One day during college I was hungover and got sick after eating one of their croissant breakfast sandwiches and never went back.

I leave near a suburb that has basically every chain store/restaurant available and I love telling people about one of the best restaurants in town, a local Asian-fusion chain with a nice rooftop bar/seating area in this case has a beautiful view into the Mattress Firm and Best Buy lot.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

One of my favorite parts is they are located on busy highways that are completely inaccessible by foot. Nothing like driving your car home in a sprawling suburb after 5 liters of Oktoberfest in the great outdoors of the local nail salon parking lot.Kerb Hohl wrote:crkone wrote:

I am a suburban man probably until later in life but that is one thing that was really hard to give up/I will miss, the ability to just walk to bars. Uber is good enough as I don't really have time for this nearly as much with kids, but still miss that.

What’s something different (not chicken, burgers, dogs) but easy to do on the grill that I could do for Father’s Day?

Steaks. Portobello mushrooms.
