Thinking about what KD did last night...

We can’t put out the Luka or Donovan Mitchell fires.
KD would have a 75 point game against us if we met the finals....

Right?

with giannis, well, he so lacks in moves he really only stops himself.

giannis is part to blame, but its defeinitely bud. We have enough tape on bud with various teams to know he is the main problem. Doc is better than bud. Shaq had kobe, Giannis has middleton. I know middelton is not anywhere near kobe, but he's supposed to get middleton some quality shots.

Collectively, all the team have bad bbiq, but man. I turned the game off 5 mins left. I knew they weren't going to win. I was so pissed off. I don't want the nets coming out of the east.

yeah it was pretty clear they weren't going to win once the nets caught up lol.

i do think giannis tried too hard to play hero ball, knowing he's the team's best player. and that's on both him and the team for not structuring late game moments in the right way, such that he's not taking terrible iso's over quality shots for others.

giannis watches to much tv and listens to the hot take artists that told him he needs to shoot the open 3 when the defense gives it to him and he needs to develop that shot

when really, all he needed was a post game, a midrange game and stick to his strengths. They're giving him the three and dsespite shooting in the teen % wise, he still takes them. Not smart basketball by him.

prob he does do that yeah

how easy is it to turn on any highlight and see the league's best players raining 3's. i mean if embiid can do it as gigantic big, why can't he?

for his sake he should work really hard at being really good at a couple moves, and then worry about the 3 later. i mean i think paul george is cringey when he's driving but giannis is on another planet even touching the ball.

i don't know how the bucks can recover mentally from a loss like that, fwiw.

yeah he should stay far the hell away from shooting threes when he's shooting 14% or so from there. This dude needs a baseline jay. No one would be able to guard it, not even kevin durant.

Maybe his attributes will never turn him into a good shooter, but I think he can work on it. I think him handicapping himself and not working with other players in the off season is doing his game a disservice.

God I hope our players were smart enough to get the vaccine.

I hope for Chris Paul's sake it's a false positive.

I'm pretty sure CP is vaccinated. Vaccination doesn't have 100% prevention from contracting the disease. Of course it could be a false positive, so who knows. Sucks for the Suns, but also for fan enjoyment in general as a lot of stars are dropping.

Doc choking another game? Please tell me that's not the truth. This is incredible. THey were up like 19 points. I'm actually hoping they make it to the ECF.

The game was lost on the floor...as most of them are.

Lou Will was huge in the 4th in their comeback. Snake oil salesman got exposed again.

If they lose this series no way they can keep Doc, who’s coached like 4 or 5 big collapse in the playoffs in the last two seasons. Either cursed or incompetence.

OTOH, this is the same Sixers team which got swept in the first round in the Bubble.

Embiid has had an MVP-level season but if they fail even to get to the ECF, it proves that Embiid and Simmons aren’t a good enough combo

Doc's only elite skills as a coach are making excuses and deflecting blame. It's how he kept his job here for so long through all the collapses, and likely why the Celtics didn't fire him after their historic 18-game losing streak with prime Pierce. No way he's getting fired this early in Philly.

Doc is going to use Ben Simmons as the scapegoat for this year, and it will work because Simmons is such a polarizing player. However, what will be conveniently left out of the narrative is that Mr. Master Motivator couldn't motivate Ben to work on his game or shoot the ball. Doc is a total doormat for his teams' stars, he never holds them accountable for anything. The only star who's ever improved under Doc is Blake Griffin, and that had nothing to do with Doc's "coaching." Blake was just self-motivated and had an insane work ethic that few ever gave him credit for, the polar opposite of Simmons.
