It's official that both Harden and Irving will miss game 5 vs Milwaukee. That puts so much stress on Durant, because now he's gotta provide triple his usual whining to refs, triple the arrogant incredulous smirks, triple the phony fouls he tries to create, and triple the end of game misses.

Philly had an awful time in the 2nd half against Atlanta - just seemed to run out of gas. Atl only shot 36.6% from the field, but Philly didn't force their usual to's. Embiid only 4 for 20.

Harden now officially upgraded to "doubtful".

KD with a historic game
The Bucks are the dumbest team left in the postseason. They willfully go away from what works and refuse to attack mismatches. Blew a 17 point lead and probably the series. No Kyrie and a Harden who can barely move.

I’d still take Budz in a second over Brooks
In Rizzo we trust

He's better than Brooks but his postseason management is not up to snuff if you want to win the title.
Steve Kerr has these Bucks in the NBA Finals...

These guys playing at an other-worldly level had a little something to do with the Bucks loss:

Yes and despite that the Bucks should have won this game by two or three posessions.
They were only up 16 at half. They took terrible quick shots, ran ISO after ISO, and refused to exploit mismatches. It is incredible.

What a colossal drag for Chris Paul to be out in this way! I assume he won't play at all in the WCF. That's likely fatal for their hopes.
Breaking News: In a shocking development, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis has sold the NBA franchise to a consortium of participants in a discussion board devoted to the team on realgm.com. Details to follow....

What a finish by Atlanta and epic meltdown by the Sixers. I really enjoyed the fans booing their team.

And this was a bigger comeback than Brooklyn's comeback over Milwaukee. It was 62-40 at halftime and 87-69 after 3. Philly was up by 20 during the 4th quarter. Trey Young was almost as good as Durant down the stretch. But one thing officials have to do next season imo is stop calling those defensive fouls when the offensive player clearly causes the contact - the type when the offender fakes a jump shot, the defender jumps, and there would be no contact except the offender then jumps into the defender as he shoots - often a 3 pointer. Call the foul on the player who initiates the contact. And I'm pretty sure that's what the rulebook says to do.

Steve Kerr is >>> Bud, but I'm really not sold on this team performing a lot better with a different coach.
Giannis just isn't going to be as effective in the playoffs when his offensive game boils down to transition points and bully ball. There is a playbook for defending him and it appears to be quite effective when teams buckle down. Ben Simmons is in the same category. These guys really need to learn how to shoot and keep adding to their games.
Also not sure how useful Lopez can be in drop coverage in this series, and they don't appear to really have the personnel to offset Lopez being useless.

^
The flaws of Giannis and Simmons are quite similar.
Neither are efficient scorers more than 8-10 ft from basket.

Except Giannis is averaging 31/13 against Brooklyn despite his flaws. Unlike Giannis, Ben actually hurts his team more than helps them.

Can’t say I thought LAC would beat UT esp with Kawhi out.
Mann with a unbelievable game. And I remember scoffing
at any notion that Reggie Jackson was comparable talent wise
to John Wall. Jackson had a great series.
We need a second rnd pick like Mann. That said, Quin didn’t help
his team with in game adjustments.

If I were the Bucks, I'd trade Jrue (if I could) for Wall. John can hit open 3s, and he'd be a super upgrade as a PG over Jrue. I doubt Houston would be willing to take on Jrue and his contract though. John never crumbled under pressure like this.
